I want the option to turn it off…..sales guy who has one said that’s not an optionNo, it's garbage. Slowly trickle charges the phone for a while then it overheats the battery and drains it.

Getting the exact same results with my Pixel 6 Pro.@JeepCares
Just drove a brand new Grand Cherokee L home from the dealer.
I placed my Google Pixel 6 Pro on the wireless charging pad and within a few seconds the light turned blue and it started to charge. After 15-20 mins of driving I looked down and saw the charging pad was now blinking red. I picked up my phone and it was extremely warm and the charging pad itself was even warmer.
What is the deal? Is this something that is being looked into? Is this a design flaw or something that may be fixed with an update? Should I bring the Jeep back to the dealer?
You think this may be more of a Pixel 6 issue?Getting the exact same results with my Pixel 6 Pro.
I am experiencing the same issue with an iPhone 12 Pro and 2022 Summit JGC. Starts, gets hot, shuts off phone and JGC blinks red (all with no apps or Safari tabs open). I am curious if ANYONE actually doesn't experience this. Even those whom report it works always have a qualifier statement after it.
So..on our 2022 GCL Limited..exactly where is the charging pad?Hello,
Thanks for tagging our @JeepCares team and bringing this to our attention @Homar4 ! We're sorry to hear about the concerns some of you are noticing with your wireless charging pad. It's important to know: just as if you were to plug your phone into an outlet and use it at the same time, your phone may overheat since it's processing so many things at once. We recommend closing out any tabs within your phone's interface that do not need to be open. Although you're not actively looking at those tabs, they're still processing in the background. Additionally phone cases may interfere with the wireless charging. The less that can interfere between your charging pad and your phone-- the better!
As seen in your Owner's manual on page 78, **The key fob should not be placed on the charging pad or within 6 inches (15 cm) of it. Doing so can cause excessive heat buildup and may lead to damage to the fob. Placing the fob in close proximity of the charging pad blocks the fob from being detected by the vehicle and prevents the vehicle from starting.
If anyone's experiencing specific concerns with their wireless charging capabilities that they'd like to run by our team, don't hesitate to send us a private message with more details and your VIN.
Thanks,
Courtney

Is your Jeep equipment what the charging pad?So..on our 2022 GCL Limited..exactly where is the charging pad?
Hi Flapjack,@JeepCares
Are there any plans to address this issue? As you can see from our posts, we're approaching this scientifically, and the issue clearly is not the things you posted about. Jeep needs to address this. We paid for this, and it's a shame that Jeep chose hardware that doesn't work with (what seems to be) half the phones out here. Again, this is not uncommon... companies release things for "smartphones", but then only test on iPhone (which is walled garden and has a very small scope of hardware), despite roughly half the US population using Android phones.
Please reply. I don't want to take the car to the dealer again unless something new has been brought to your attention.

We definitely understand the frustration here. Our team is working hard to get this addressed, but in the meantime, please ensure you leave the compartment open to prevent heat being trapped, remove any cases, pop sockets, etc that may inhibit charging, and know that the phone may need to be readjusted as it is possible for it to shift from the targeted charging position during the drive.I have the same phone with the same issue. My wireless charger works for about 15-20 minutes, then starts blinking red and stops charging my phone. I would love to see this resolved @JeepCares.
I’m never surprised when things don’t work on this pos, only when they do. Soon as my Lyriq gets here it’s gone. I can only hope it’s better as I can’t continue making these 70k mistakes.Where can I place my bets on an anniversary of this post happening before a fix from Jeep?
Jeep does not have to care after the sale, it can be optional in their eyes. You have to make them care by using legal action.
A wireless charger is petty IMO, but sold by them. I am sure most owners have larger issues than this charger. If not consider yourself lucky
No safety issue so there will not be a recall.@JeepCares Any update on a solution and timing whether software update or hardware recall?
