Summit Reserve Sticker Difference - eLSD?

Quadra Drive II is basically Quadra Trac II + eLSD. If they take away eLSD, can Jeep continue to market Summit with standard Quadra Drive II?
Problem is that they took it away temporarily as a result of a chip shortage. IMO, they should have held up the orders as opposed to building the vehicle without the feature.

I understand your point here but I bet you half this forum would be in an uproar if they help up their orders for another 2 months lol its a no win situation for Stellantis.

Not so. I would rather have the equipment that was standard on the Summit. The off-road package was not available to me on the Overland. So I went with the Summit. In snow and blizzard county, safety first. If you had power Windows and air conditioning taken. Would you be upset? I would say yes, same thing.

I will be driving my MB Unimog Doka with 44’s this winter. A little over kill on a few days. But all the parts are on it for safety.

All depends on how long it will take to get the chip. My Reserve is scheduled for August 9th. If it is only a few weeks until the chip availability, I would be willing to wait.

agree, they are in a pickle. But choosing to keep folks in the dark and change their order on the DL is always a bad option. If they sent me a letter saying I could hold, cancel, or accept my order I’d be disappointed but still appreciate being giving the choice.

Jeep now trying to sell me the revised summit reserve without quadra-drive. Im discussing with the dealer.
I dont plan to buy without.

“Jeep” as is corporate/factory, or just in discussion with the dealer?
well. I had a valid order in progress for 3 months with a VIN. then last week Jeep substituted my in progress build with another VIN
and then told my dealer this is the replacement.

Its not the vehicle I ordered via the dealer. So yes. Jeep as in corporate/factory did this.
The dealer is helpless.

This is unacceptable. A lot of people have purchased there vehicles. Placed a down payment. Only to get what Jeep thinks you should have. Then take a few dollars off. But to add this later will cost thousands. Jeep needs to reach out prior doing the box g bait and switch.
BTW, the build site still shows eLSD as standard equipment.

Shameful,

Another thing I'm thinking is what's happening. Whatever orders come in for the eLSD, I think they're headed for the Summit Reserve orders. I saw on the Jeep website that that the regular Summits have the 400 dollar discount for not having eLSD, but that discount isn't there on the Reserve. With my V8 Summit Reserve still in purgatory, I think it's the eLSD I'm waiting for

I also had noticed those sheets had the 25S package and not the 25U (Reserve) package.
So you’re saying there’s a chance! lol

I pulled the parts diagrams for the rear diff, and based on limited research could only find two other parts related to the eLSD, which was the eLSD control module (upper left illustration, $105) and axle motor (#10 in lower left illustration, $5). I wonder which diff will actually get shipped (eLSD is lower left), and if the only thing missing is the control module (essentially it would just work in a failed/disconnected state but still perfectly operable). Could very well be shipping with the stepper motor already bolted to the differential and missing the control module. I find it unlikely that the clutch packs inside the differential (that the motor pushes together) would also be missing (another part number to procure from Dana)...

I cancelled my order as much as it painful.. a long time waiting for nothing. I might as well go for a vehicle $5-10k less if its going to have lesser capabilities.
