Summit Reserve Sticker Difference - eLSD?

eLSD will kick in once your rear tire looses traction and will send power to the 2nd rear wheel. Since you ordered the V8. The rear axle will remain the 230MM size. May be able to add later. But it would not be cheap. If you live in a non extreme winter weather area. I would not be to concerned. But the dealership should be able to say if it is coming with.

Dealership has informed me that some time in August this will be added once again. I also have an email to @JeepCares asking the same question. But no response as of yet. If I lived in Florida I would not care so much. But I also could have spent less money on a lesser Grand Cherokee L.

Thanks! Is the $400 difference the difference between the price shown on website when you build the vehicle and on the build sheet the dealer prepares when placing an order?

I see that the model I orders has an MSRP of $70,265 on Jeep's website but the build sheet (or the order form) that my dealer created when I place the order shows $69,865 - so that's a $400 difference. Does that mean I am not getting the eLSD? I noticed that one of the older build sheet or order forms that someone shared for the same model was also $400 than the website amount.

That is correct. You will not get the eLSD. My dealership said sometime in August it will be available again. If it’s the end of August. I would say it would be a 2022. But that is my thinking. The 400 dollar difference is the key.

So you’re saying there’s a chance! lol

I pulled the parts diagrams for the rear diff, and based on limited research could only find two other parts related to the eLSD, which was the eLSD control module (upper left illustration, $105) and axle motor (#10 in lower left illustration, $5). I wonder which diff will actually get shipped (eLSD is lower left), and if the only thing missing is the control module (essentially it would just work in a failed/disconnected state but still perfectly operable). What is the part number for the control module (#1)? I might try to place an order for it. I'm increasingly suspecting that the Hemi models are getting the differential with the limited slip ready, just no control module...

Also no eLSD in the axle. The module was $410.00 when I last checked. I would say at least $2000.00 for yours. It will need axle work. But not a replacement. I will get part numbers for you in the AM.

Also keep in mind you will need to lookup the nuts/bolt/clips and any wiring between the diff (rear axle) and control module (under dash or under hood).

Why are you such an a&@? D@&$head
A) That was someone else who asked about the suite. I just jokingly answered his/her/their question.
B) I love how I pointed out that nothing Jeep did was illegal and your response is to mock my education and tell me to do my homework.
C) Pointing out someones incorrect statements and correcting them isn't trolling.
D) Don't call me names.

Well I just saw the first Summit GCL V8... There'll be no retrofitting (unless you want to pay $$$) the differntial used is completely different and clearly an open design

I ordered my Summit Reserve July 8th, no build sheet yet do you think I have a chance of the parts coming for eLSD? Fingers crossed. I should have got an Overland with the front recovery hooks but you couldn’t order with the off-road package when I was ordering so the point of getting the reserve was for the eLSD. Pulling snowmobiles through sketchy roads I was counting on the eLSD.
