Summit Reserve Sticker Difference - eLSD?

I have now observed that according to the sticker, Jeep is removing the Electronic Limited–Slip Differential Rear Axle and dropping the price by $400.. Compare these stickers headsup :
$65,875: https://www.jeep.com/.../window.../getWindowStickerPdf.do...
vs.
$66,275
https://www.jeep.com/.../window.../getWindowStickerPdf.do...

also note that this entry "Multi–Color Ambient LED Interior Lighting" appears on the lower cost Summit Reserve, but not on the higher cost.. So unsure if this is a true difference, or just an adjustment to the sticker wording (similar discussion to above).

Buyer beware.. if you were looking for this feature. check the sticker.

Good catch!! You are correct.
The E-LSD comes standard on the summit and summit reserve, optional on overland (off road package) That explains price reduction.
That’s messed up because they didn’t warned us of that change.
I would imagine that it is an availability of that part issue or just that Jeep think buyers of summit won’t be interested in that feature only overland would?
Thanks for the heads up!

Whose to say it isn't on the Overland too? Doesn't make me happy. I brought the 400 price difference to my dealers attention when I ordered two weeks ago, asking if something was omitted from the equipment. He said that with the order form, he would have gotten a message saying so. More BS.

I suspect it's a parts shortage issue... Hemi GCLs are in production now, the few that are available are going to them.

Looks like in my 2021 GC L that I ordered last week, it will not be there as there is price difference of 400$. So is it like final that we will not have that part? This is sad. I didn't expected this when I ordered mine.

Did you order it with a Hemi?

Look on the sticker. It should be listed near the bottom of the "Functionality Safety Features" segment.

I just ordered a Summit Reserve w/V8

While the inventory guy was building it out on the computer I noticed it was coming up $400 cheaper than what I had on my printout from the jeep.com build I did. I questioned him about it and he said that often happens, I just wrote it off as a small win on a big expense.

After reading this I grabbed my papers again...

The "Configuration Preview" that he printed off for me was showing the base price as $58,595
The " Priced Order Confirmation (POC)" sheet he printed off after we submitted the order shows the base price as $58995

The POC sheet's total price matches my jeep.com print out's total price. The "Preview" total price, of course, was $400 lower.

My POC also shows $58,995…are you saying trust the POC (which seems to still include the eLSD) or that the POC should ignored and the “preview” is correct?

I'm saying that they apparently have confusion within their own system, I don't know what to believe at this point.
@JeepCares would be the ones to chime in and potentially look into why there are discrepancies.

After looking at my Summit build sheet. It looks like I also got shafted. I am heading to the dealership today to find out why I can still get thes on the Jeep build and price. But my build sheet removed this option. Living in the Dakotas. We get deep snow and slippery conditions. I need the rear axle to lock up from time to time. I have already traded in my vehicle. Put down money and only owe a few thousand dollars. This bait and switch is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. I traded in a 2020 Gladiator Launch Edition. This is what I needed at the time. But I still need the eLSD.
The dealership has already sold my vehicle. Mine is built but not yet shipped.

I will be refusing delivery until I get what I had ordered.

I'm the one who originally noticed the discrepancy. I contacted Jeep Cares several days ago. They confirmed that my vehicle will not have ELSD. Reason was due to a chip shortage. My most recent POC shows that my vehicle is in D1 status and is scheduled to be shipped on August 9th. The numbers still reflect 58,595. Not happy.

jwhaugen: Where did you see your build sheet? Looking to view my own.

Anyone that can provide any further info from their dealer, please update.

thanks for the update. the level of frustration for me will depend on the ability to add eLSD later. If it’s not possible without a few thousand dollars and replacing the rear diff, I’ll be more upset that if it’s a simple drop-off at the dealer and $4-500 to “activate” the feature.

That's a good point. Please let me know if it would be as simple as that.

By the way, I just looked at several Summits on their way to local dealers. They have the lower MSRP price and do not list ELSD as included equipment.

Talked to my dealership today and we talked about the bait and switch from Jeep. I can still build with the eLSD on the Jeep web site. It is still 400.00 more. But when the dealership orders and that no is taking off without our knowledge. That is disgraceful. Dealership is reaching out to Jeep on Monday. I will know then if I cancel my order. They already sold my trade. They are also checking into adding the eLSD for the 400.00

here is how I got my build sheet and window sticker. Even though it says JL. It will send you info on your GCL.
