Just got text the manager of my jeep dealer. He said the official launch date for dealers for the grand cherokee L is tomorrow AM. When this happens, they expect everyone thay is in D or further status to start moving to next phases pretty rapidly. Also, this launch of tomorrow jives with them shipping a bunch of Ls on transporters this past Monday. Fingers crossed tomorrow is an informative day...

I think the issue with all the hold up is for folks who ordered V8. Has anybody seen a V8 GCL move past D1 status? Or an example where a V8 is “in-transit” on the jeep site?
I ordered the V8 on May 3rd and my status is d. My dealer told me today that it was not changing because of the engine. He thinks it will be soon but it is anybody's guess for sure!!

Right. All the delay is because they haven't started the production of the V8 GCL's yet. They can keep escalating your concerns higher and higher when you chat and ask questions but I doubt things will move until they as a company decide to start producing the V8 orders. Per my understanding, even the dealership allocation orders were only for V6 back in April.

Does anyone know what the status “T” stands for? This is status showing on GCL’s that are coming to dealership I’m dealing with. I have put money down and traded my own car for one of the white limited’s. Dealer keeps changing time frames. We are frustrated.

It really is!! The dealer I was working with tired adding it to the build and they ordering system wouldn't let them. Then they had one on order for dealer stock that had everything I list above with the Lux tech II that I put a deposit on but it's stuck in BG status ( order has passes edit but cannot be scheduled regardless of sold status), dealer spoke to corporate rep and was told they do not know when they will start to build the limited with the Lux Tech II again because of part constraints. That's why I ordered without.
This is the frustrating part about how they have launched this model and is due to lack of communication between Jeep and the dealers.
Filtering the Inventory that's on transit at this moment you can see a large portion of Limited have he Lux Tech II package.
Either your dealer lied or the corporate guy they talk to knows nothing, but they could have told you that many of the dealer units have it. Maybe the restriction is for Market (customer) orders but not for dealer orders.

I just heard from my dealer today. My summit Reserve v6 was ordered in April and has been complete for about 3-4 weeks now. Dealer is telling me ship date is 7/4 with anticipated dealer delivery end of July. Ridiculous that it was completed early June and not getting for nearly 2 months later.

Honestly, I’d rather know that my vehicle hadn’t entered production and therefore couldn’t be in the yard, then to wonder if I was the lucky one who had my vehicle drained before delivery. But yeah, this is gonna be a kick in the pants.
😢😢 My GCL entered quality check on Monday this week after built and trim last Friday. I maybe one of the unlucky ones with my order sitting in that flooded yard ready to be shipped.

Just to be clear.
The article is incorrect when it says the Jefferson plant is the one producing the GCL.
GCL is at the new plant across Mack Ave rd.
The problem is that the may have been using Jefferson’s parking lot to store the L’s.

Mine was in shipping status and I just got the window sticker…. The question is gonna be how will we know if ours was affected by flooding?
