But if you aren't getting the Hemi, you don't get the beefier diff, yet, you would with Elsd. The bigger issue is that they advertise the Elsd as being standard on the Summit. Then they just delete it without notice. Now, it appears that they deleted another feature since new orders are $200 cheaper. What did they delete? Of course, we are left to guessing. The QT2 is all you need. You do not need the eLSD. I've done rocky river beds, beaches, mud bogs, mountain roads, highways in the rain, rock crawling. Never once needed the eLSD. Never got stuck. I do not get why so many people are up in arms about the eLSD. If you are getting the V8, you are already getting beefier diff.
The eLSD seemed to work great pulling snowmobile trailer out of icy situations on my old GC, but I’m mainly upset as I wanted the Overland with Off-Road package, which I would have ordered but you couldn’t order it so I went with Summit so I could get the eLSD, now I don’t have front recovery hooks or eLSD. So it was a bad call that I made. Last year I used the recovery hooks twice as the group I go with likes to park in some sketchy areas. Guess I’ll just park smarter lol, at least I’ll get there in decent luxury. The QT2 is all you need. You do not need the eLSD. Not an SR but fyi there's an Overland V8 on a dealer lot near me in RI. This dealer will not budge below MSRP and won't accept affiliate pricing. Nice people tho.If you know of a way to find a SR Hemi on a lot somewhere, pass it along plz. I’ve been hunting and pecking around google or on the new build site (pretty much manually) without any luck.
On icey and snowy roads, and deepish(!) snow, eLSD won't beat QT2. But, I am with you in regard to the off road package. I wanted that too. Recovery hooks are also useful. I am also with you in regard to disappearing features. At least, with regard to the off road package, the hemi gets you beefier diff, and the rest of of the off road package was skid plates, and you can add those yourself -- probably cheaper. First, value is value. You never know when or why you want to sell a car. Ran it 2015 vs 2016 and its still 2,250 dollars. That matters if you plan on flipping the car. Do the same comparison in 5 years, and it will be less significant
I saw that on the build, the summit reserve says standard suspension??Someone on the JGCL FB page posted about this....

Maybe I'll just buy some really nice Winter Tires and hope recovery hooks aren't needed. Right now I'll just be excited to get something to tow the sleds with before winter lol.On icey and snowy roads, and deepish(!) snow, eLSD won't beat QT2. Through the Jeep build tool I’ve searched nearly ever major city in the US. Found a few SR V8s, none with two tone paint. So apparently that’s also a delimiter. Not an SR but fyi there's an Overland V8 on a dealer lot near me in RI. This dealer will not budge below MSRP and won't accept affiliate pricing. The deleted the Adaptive Dampening Suspension. Just found out.But if you aren't getting the Hemi, you don't get the beefier diff, yet, you would with Elsd. Wow..is that for GCL that have a VIN assigned or future 2021 orders. I'm definitely cancelling if this feature is removed. The deleted the Adaptive Dampening Suspension. Just found out.
QDII is much better than QTII in all conditions. QTII + eLSD = QDII. You get all the benefits of QTII plus the eLSD in the rear diff which enables true power to the wheel with the most traction WITHOUT having to pulse the brakes. On icey and snowy roads, and deepish(!) snow, eLSD won't beat QT2. I see vehicles showing up now that have had it removed. Look at stickers... One says adaptive dampening and others ones just showing up say semi-active dampening. It is now a mandated delete on all new orders but I'm guessing they removed a while back as builds just showing up today already have it removed.Wow..is that for GCL that have a VIN assigned or future 2021 orders. How are you reviewing stickers? The crypto site looks like it's only wranglers when I look at it.I see vehicles showing up now that have had it removed. Look at stickers... Using the Jeep site to look at vehicles inventory and then looking at those stickers. Take a look at my post above.. You can see the changes..How are you reviewing stickers? The crypto site looks like it's only wranglers when I look at it.
