Jeep Grand Cherokee L order status updates….

RE VIN: 1C4-RJKDG4M8-119829

On August 9, 2021 I visited Friendship Jeep in Bristol, TN to inquire about trading my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon for a 2021 Grand Cherokee L. We found a suitable vehicle in-transit to the dealer with an arrival date of August 17 which was only eight days away so we proceeded to finalize the trade. I made a substantial deposit to hold the Grand Cherokee and relaxed while awaiting the delivery date of August 17.

Didn't happen. On August 17 the salesman called to tell me the delivery had slipped a day . . . to August 18. That didn't happen either and here we are on August 19 with no idea of when the Grand Cherokee Overland will actually be delivered.

Can you help pin this delivery date down? I have looked at local inventories at jeep.com and find no other vehicles that suit my needs as well as this one.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Best Regards,
Ralph T Tilghman

I noticed that the build tool on Jeeps website shows $600 than what it used to be for a summit reserve. Not sure what all they have removed from the standard spec.

I wonder if the unavailability of the Off-Road package and the loss of the eLSD are related? eLSD shortage?

I'm not sure how reliable that is, but Normal Duty Suspension shows up even on my build sheet with the Air Suspension (and Semi-Active Dampers)

There was a post on the Facebook page about all future orders having a force select for removal of air suspension. I have also confirmed this with my dealer. Why would they not show air suspension on the “build and price” tool when they did before they lowered the price Friday….

It is not. If you go to the build and price, it lists it is “normal duty suspension” on all models that had air suspension previously. Price is also cheaper.
Since Quadra lift air is still listed on Build And Price, can you please define what Air Suspension is?

Is adaptive suspension different from semi active dampening? This is what I see on Jeeps website under standard specifications for Summit Reserve.
