Jeep Grand Cherokee L order status updates….

I've read that they've stopped taking orders now as they're going to open the ordering for 2023 models shortly. That seems EXTREMELY early for that (April). Does anyone have any information on that?

If so, and perhaps either way, I'd cancel your 2021 order that's SIX months old unless there's a dramatic price advantage.
The one site said the early 23 orders were for corp and fleet vehicles.

That makes more sense, as those orders probably get filled as production allows, with much longer lead times involved (lower profit, lower priority, less time-sensitive).

Does anyone else have experience being in D1 for over a month? Ordered 2/12. Est ship date has been moved from 4/5 to 4/20 but has been “scheduled for production and will be entering the build process shortly” for over 4 weeks. Just curious when we could realistically expect arrival.

I've been in D1 for well over a month now. Original est ship date was 3/14, been moved a few times and now I'm 4/20 as well. If that holds true, then I'd say arrival would be late May/early June.

Yeah, I'm not clear on what's going on; if you order now, do you get a 2023? Not that it means much, except it might be better for resale down the road to not have a '21 or '22, and those will probably get labeled as 'problem years by the interweb. It doesn't sound like the new turbo motor will be available until 2024 MY, which is probably also fine, as we can watch how it goes in the Wagoneers in the mean time. A '23 with a Hemi might be more desirable thing until the new motors prove themselves and/or work through the teething process. BMW has been making reliable 3.0L twin turbo I6's for a long time, so hopefully they cribbed a lot of notes from that one and the new I6 proves reliable out of the gate. But 420hp, never mind 510 hp, is a good deal to ask from 3.0L.

What trim level did you order? Did you order at least a Summit with the ESLD? I had to order mine without it because of supply. Just a thought.
We ordered a summit reserve with no deletes. When the dealer updated us on the delay he said that they’re not even letting them order summits right now so maybe a hold up with parts? Jeep chat told us weeks ago that all parts were received 🤷‍♀️

I'm guessing it's the differential causing the problem. Jeep.com lists this item as a delete if you want it. I would say because they are hard to come by and want to limit them as much as possible. Hopefully they will get yours built and delivered to you soon.

We got an update that we are now in trim. Is this the final stage before shipping? I’ve seen some say shipping via train can take weeks but does anyone know about the shipping process to TN? We are approx 500 miles from the factory
