Just got the chance to see a Summit, Summit R and Overland at my local dealer.
Not a fan of the Tupelo interior in Summit R
Gray interior on Summit is better, but definitely dont like the std 20” wheels on Summit.
Overland has probably the best look on the outside, wheels are second to only 21” Summit R.
Will continue to wait until Two tone is available on Overland.

Did you happen to take any pictures of the Tupelo interior?

Nice to see some finally getting into the showrooms. Most of what I see are the V6. Any idea is they have started on the V8 versions as well? I ordered mine first week of May and it is still in the "scheduling" phase. I am suspecting the delay is more on the V8s.

Ordered my V8 Summitt on May 3. Still in scheduling. Quite sure the V8 is the hold up.

I definitely agree, ours was ordered end of April, Summit R V8.
I’m in the same boat… SR V8 no delivery date yet. Ordered 6 May from SC.

Guys- It will be worth it when we have the sweet satisfaction of jumping off our first green light or towing with the HEMI. Side note: got my first email from Jeffy today. He says he's prioritizing my order and will be in touch soon. This is great news and I really think he only has eyes for me and doesn't just say that to all the pretty girls... 😂

I ordered a Summit V6 on June 9 and the status changed to Storage two days ago. (7/1). I was originally given an estimated ship date of 6/28. I tried to order the 19 speaker sound system, but couldn't--based on what I've seen because I also ordered the 2nd row bench seat. When I ordered, the dealer told me it would take 8-10 weeks to get the vehicle. It's moving faster than I want, because my current lease doesn't end until September. Also, my sales rep told me yesterday that their WLs are in a local warehouse (Dallas, TX area) waiting for the okay to release them. He said their techs have been to the warehouse to flash the firmware in the vehicles (maybe that's been the holdup on releasing them?).

Does your dealer have someone else on order with a similar build who ordered later? Maybe they can put the two of you in touch and swap reservations?

That's a great question. They've offered to order another one for me when the McIntosh becomes available with the configuration I want, but it's tough to time it just right. Once the vehicles start arriving at the dealership, I'll have to listen to see how important to me the premium stereo is. I may just end up having a little overlap in vehicles. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm looking to order the GCL Summit Reserve and have a few questions before I place a factory order. Really appreciate it you all could help me find some answers.

1. Is the Baltic Grey color different from the gray color they showed when launching the vehicle a few months back?

2. When you place the order are you getting it at a price less than MSRP or is MSRP what you are agreeing to pay?

3. Is the deposit for factory order refundable? Most dealers that I spoke to told me it's non refundable.

4. Is the 5.7 L engine worth the wait? I'd like to feel good acceleration and have good a driving feel when I'm spending this much money.

5. In the online configurator it's says the 19 speaker system is McIntosh but the subwoofer is Harmon Kardon. Is that correct?

Thanks a lot!!!

1. I saw it in person for the first time today and I love the Baltic gray. The dealer had a limited in every color and it was sunny out. The launch vehicle was painted Baltic grey.

2. I leased mine and was targeting a total out the door lease number. Depending on who it is leased through at the end, I'll have wound up being somewhere between 3500-5000 under MSRP. I asked for number based on the treadlightly program and it was $8 less than what I was already negotiated at with my dealer and they said they weren't even sure they'd be able to use tread lightly on the GCL SR (this was late April) plus it would cost me $100 and I'd have to wait 30 days to order. If you have the time to wait, check out the $100 tread lightly membership as I believe they are being accepted by dealers.

3. Dealer discretion on refund of deposit and situation.

4. Other than online youtube reviewers, none of us have driven a V8 since they only made a few for the purpose of showing them off but they haven't manufactured in bulk, therefore, I don't think anyone can say it's worth the wait as no one has one yet.

5. I haven't seen/heard about HK sub with McIntosh but haven't seen a lot of reviews of it either. A lot of the online info from jeep around launch had conflicting/incorrect info so I'd be surprised if it has all McIntosh Highs and Mids and Amp but a HK sub.

Hope that helps a little.

Thanks Stephen!

I haven't been successful at getting a dealer to quote below MSRP. Maybe I need to get the treadlightly membership.
