V8 or V6??

V8, White with Black Roof, all options except the Mopar Protect package (or something like that). I have a local guy that ceramic coats all our combines at the dealership I will have him do that. I went with the black factory running boards vs the bright ones. Also went with black leather. Ty

From what I've seen tracking other people's experience on this forum, The "Ship date" is pretty much the date that it's finished the build phase, but not really when it's actually shipped...

Ordered a 2022 GCL Summit Reserve with the V8 on 11/6

11/10: Got VIN and Status was D-Firm schedule serial number is assigned

11/15: Jeep Chat said "Your vehicle is in scheduling with parts being gathered. No Dealer ETA yet"

11/20: Jeep Chat said "All of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly. No Dealer ETA yet."

11/30: Jeep Chat said same thing as 11/20

12/1: Jeep Chat said "I can see all the required materials for your vehicle have been gathered and the plant has sequenced your order for production, it should be entering the build anytime now!"

12/2: Dealership emailed today and said "the estimated ship date is 12/07/21"

12/6: Jeep Chat says "Vehicle is currently in the frame stage of the build process."

12/7: Jeep Chat says "you GCL is in the build stage currently in the paint part of the build."

12/8: Jeep Chat says "Your vehicle has been built and is pending installation of additional equipment. This is necessary step when additional features or optional equipment packages are added to the vehicle. Currently no Dealer ETA."

12/10 Jeep Chat said "Your order has been released from the factory and was approved for shipping. Shipping arrangements have not been completed yet but it should be leaving soon!"

12/28 Dealership: My '22 GCL SR V8 was unloaded from the railcar yesterday 12/26 @ 2:19 pm in Benicia, CA (about 4-hour car ride to the north of me). VDC showed “Railcar Unloaded” ETA to dealership is now 12/26-1/4.

12/30 Dealership: My GCL SR V8 was unloaded from the railcar on 12/26 (2:20 pm), but today my order status changed and says “Shippable” = “No”. VDC shows “Ingate/Rebay at Facility” ETA = TBD My dealership said they don't know why it says that?

12/31 Dealership: My GCL SR V8 is Shippable again and VDC says "Bay location updated for vehicle shipment" as of 12/30. ETA = 12/31-1/4

1/3 Dealership: My GCL SR V8 is still at Benicia Railyard. VDC says "Bay location updated for vehicle shipment" as of 12/30. ETA = 1/3-1/17

1/9 Dealership: My GCL SR V8 is still at Benicia Railyard. VDC says "Bay location updated for vehicle shipment" as of 1/5. ETA = 1/9-1/17

I was chatting with Jeep today and the first person I talked to said I was in the frame stage, but then I got disconnected. I opened a new chat and the 2nd rep gave me the standard "I see all parts are ready and it should be entering build phase soon". My dealer confirmed I was in D1 last week, along with Jeep Chat. The chat folks are sometimes helpful, but not usually 😂

I live in NJ and I'd do it. Be a good break in. I'm in contact with the developers of the stop/start disabler that I use on my '19 GC HA and they offered to pay my travel expenses if I drove the '22 to West Virginia so that they could get their product working on an L, will probably do it as I despise stop / start.

Would love to see an easy mod to made the stop/start disabler permanently off. Our Mercedes also has this issue, I have to cancel it every single drive. Annoying.

1/13/22 - Jeep Chat gave VIN XXX552908 - order is in scheduling phase

Did email the dealer, no response yesterday or today. I fear this will be consistent behavior from the sales staff there. Dealer did tell me 20-24 weeks, they have seen as few as 10 weeks, as high as 24 weeks. Jeep chat told me 8-10 weeks from order today….but, heavily qualified their answer with a general estimate. Interestingly, the dealer said that the website has stopped giving updates to customers because the dealers hate that customers are bothering them with information chat gives.

Either way, I am very excited I got my 22 order in. Dealer said that getting it in on the 11th beat the larger orders dealer put in monthly on the 12th. He said he was ordering 70 vehicles. So, who really knows the story.

Does anyone know if any equipment is currently being deleted? (air suspension, hitch, off road package, etc have been issues in the past). I'm wondering about pursuing a buyback/replacement of my loaded V8 Overland, but don't want to do it if I can't get all the equipment.

Nothings is being deleted as of recent shipments.
Check the inventory search and pull the build sheets on whats in transit or Being Built.
QL is std on all Overland, Summit regardless of engine or SR package.
So is the full Towing Package.
So is eLSD on the Summit
Off road is yet to be available for Overland.

You kind of scared me there so I just double checked with Chat and they again confirmed that I'm in paint, so I think I'm good

I have this for my 2019, I actually asked the mfgr if they were working on a device for the '22 L's and they said yes, but they needed one first to test with. They're about 3 hours from me and if they haven't gotten done by the time I get mine I fully intend to drive there and let them use mine.

I check every build I can on cryptostickers and I haven't seen any recent deletions. I do believe that v6 Summits may still have elsd being deleted, I think one of the members here had it deleted, but I'm not sure what the circumstances were.

That is accurate. I have seen several V6 Summits built in December with eLSD deleted but that is all I've seen.
