Summit Reserve Sticker Difference - eLSD?

I'm the one who originally noticed the discrepancy. I contacted Jeep Cares several days ago. They confirmed that my vehicle will not have ELSD. Reason was due to a chip shortage. My most recent POC shows that my vehicle is in D1 status and is scheduled to be shipped on August 9th. The numbers still reflect 58,595. Not happy.

jwhaugen: Where did you see your build sheet? Looking to view my own.

Anyone that can provide any further info from their dealer, please update.
Try this link. Just replace the VIN with yours.

Looks like I will be canceling my order. The bait and switch that Jeep has imposed on us will not fly with me. I have a driveway that tilts slightly. And in the winter months I slide. I need the axles to lock up. The dealership says that the Overland off road group will open up in august. But I am no longer interested. Vehicle is in ship status. I will not wait another minute for another bait and switch. They sold my Gladiator Launch Edition. But I will be asking for it back. Never give the car dealership full amount up front. Not a happy camper. But I will not be taken advantage of.

What was their answer as to whether Elsd could be added to an existing vehicle?

Would need rear axle and eLSD computer. Mid August can order again with eLSD. He said possibly a 2022.

That sucks. Kind if figured it would be a major job. Mine is scheduled for August 9th. I'll probably miss it by several weeks. Not a deal breaker, but I would rather have it included.

I have no choice. Weather is dictating it. Dealership is understanding of my displeasure. Jeromey on the other hand cares less.
Still on the Jeep build site. It is still listed under standard equipment.

Wait a minute, so it’s not only the e-lsd, but also a different axel?

Only $400 discount off sticker is insane. That would cost at least $2k post sale. As a overland owner who should have bought a rubicon, I know.

Correct, there is a module. But since it is not installed. They went with the 195MM axle. Not the 230MM axle. Also the electronics are not installed in the axle.

I would take the order and see if a fellow forum member might give you a $500 holding fee to take your spot at the dealer when it arrives. ;)

@Rob @JeepCares is this newsworthy? Think anyone at Mopar Insiders, The Drive, Detroit News, or AutoNews would be interested? I’m all about bringing this issue to light since so many of us on this forum feel like this is being slipped under the radar. Quadra Drive II is THE difference for some folks considering other brands. I know it certainly is for me.

This Jeep screw job has cost me a lot of money. And still when I go to the build and price web site it still says 230MM rear axle with eLSD? My Jeep gladiator has already Ben sold by the dealership. So the 7% sales tax on the trade in will cost me 3500.00 since I will not take deliver. I gave the dealership a paid off 2020 Gladiator Launch Edition and 3000.00 down payment. I know one thing. This will be my last vehicle from Ram, Jeep or Chrysler. 3 new keeps in the last 2 years mean nothing to Jeep Does Not Care. The dealership said that I can reorder mid August. This is what I am being told that the eLSD will be ironed out. But do I want to get screwed again? Not no, not he’ll no, but f@&$ no.

Quadra Drive II is basically Quadra Trac II + eLSD. If they take away eLSD, can Jeep continue to market Summit with standard Quadra Drive II?
