Satellite Radio not working

I have a GCL Overland with the McIntosh system. My GCL is around two weeks old and took it on it's first trip over the weekend. Everything was worked great. I get home today and when I started it the screen said no Sat Signal and my 6 month Trial subscription isn't there anymore. Everytime I tap on a channel it says No Internet. I checked my SXM app and my Jeep is still on my account Anyone else having this issue?

Mine quit working, but after the first couple of days (1500 mile road trip to get home) of ownership the wheels just started falling off my whole UConnect system. My XM is dead, along with just about anything to do with the Uconnect system (list here). CarPlay also quit working, the volume quit working, etc etc etc.

Hopefully yours doesn't go that whole route, but it seems like there's something wrong with the whole Uconnect system. It started with a few small things and just got worse and worse, like it has a virus eating it all apart.

Thanks I'm hoping that it doesn't start snowballing like that. Although I have seen a few things like Sometimes the seat and stering wheel don't automatically go back to the setting when the Jeep is started. and I have seen a small flicker in the screen twice. I took some pictures of what was going on and the dealer service manager said they have seen that before and a software flash fixes it. We shall see. They are coming to pick it up on day this week.

Take video of these issues when they happen so you can show your dealer. That’s how mine started, and it just got progressively worse. Like a virus spreading through the system.

fantastic lol. I did take pics of what the screens were showing so they know. I mean honestly I love this Jeep and it's my first one. I just hope that they can figure out the Uconnect. I know it's a new system and there ar probably bugs that need worked out.

Ok so this is really weird. I stopped at my local dealer (not where I bought it) and was talking with them and showing them the pics of the screens. Teh service manager said to call SXM first just to make sure there isn't anything on their end that is screwed up. I said ok I will try that. I get home from work and pull the GCL out of the garage and the damn thing is working perfectly fine. Like nothing was wrong.

Yep. It's Uconnect Roulette.

I never know what might be working and what might not every single time I get in the car. Mostly nothing 'connected' works (phonewise), XM hasn't worked in a long time, settings don't save/recall, but sometimes wired carplay works, sometimes it works for two seconds and then shuts off, it's just all. over. the. map.

I am having the same issue with mine too. It is the third time that it has happened. I took a video and I plan to show the dealership.

All of this seems like a very easy software patch fix. But Jeep needs to come out with one ASAP. I remember when my wife bought her 2011 Explorer back in 11 it had Ford Sync. This was completely new for ford and hers was the first explorer to have it. It was very glitchy but Ford came out with software updates almost monthly. After about 4 or 5 months it worked perfectly and neer had an issue after that. Maybe Jeep needs to take a lesson there.

I do know I had similar issues with my RAM Unconnect when I first acquired. After taking with dealership and Sirius in length, if you do not create a user profile in the Unconnect more often than not, all you presets and such will be lost each time and certainly functions will not work. As odd as that sound but a user profile setup fixed it.

I tried that but it won't let me until my free trial is up

Based on my experiences to date, I expect the subscriptions to end and there still won't be any way to sign up. I mean, these cars have been out long enough that some of these subscriptions should have already ended for some people, and they STILL don't even have pricing or anything.

It seems like the whole Stellantis organization is just a mess.

I'm having the same radio issues with our GCL O/L, but we have the added excitement of the kids being able to control the fans in the front seat from the second row. I should feel special though, at least the dealer figured out my zombie windshield wipers. We are about to drop this vehicle off for the 3rd time in the 2 months that we have had it. Are the quality control folks at Jeep drinking on the job?

Do you have your 'automatic wipers' enabled in Uconnect? Given how screwed up Uconnect is in my car, I'd look at that with suspicion re weird wiper behavior? I've noticed some weirdness from mine too, but with all the other problems I haven't had time or even capability to figure out how they're supposed to work.

Another thing is the 'sync' button in the Uconnect screen which may me screwing up your heat controls.

The Uconnect system is such a total lemon in my car I can't even access the settings 99% of the time (sometimes it appears somewhat stable for the first minute or so, and then starts flashing and rebooting).

The weird thing is some people seem to have no problems, which makes me think the problem is hardware, not software. It's so bad I can't help but wonder if they were using electrical components from the flood damaged vehicles. Otherwise there was a whole run of defective chips or something. It's insane.

I will be honest I have the auto wipers set to on and my do come on every now and then even when it isn't raining. I will say though that this isn't a Jeep thing. My 2019 Cadillac XT5 did the same thing. My brother in laws 2010 Audi A7 and his @019 Audi S5 do the same thing

No, I didn't use the wiper setting in UConnect, just from the stalk. Dealer found out that stalk was bad. We have only noticed the fan issue in A/C mode. And when we try to turn down the front fan, it shows that it's already at 1. This is crazy.

I could see a false positive on a sensor, but mine come on with the switch turned off.

Did they figure this out because it threw a code, or did they have to 'witness' the problem first hand?
