Has anyone with all these Uconnect problems had their system fully fixed by a dealer?

My Uconnect system (like others on here) has had absolutely MASSIVE problems. If anyone has had similar problems and had them all resolved, I'd love to know specifically what parts/repairs were done to solve the issues.

My electrical/Uconnect problems/symptoms, at least as a partial list:

1. Wireless Apple Carplay won't connect or drops at random
2. Wired Carplay won't connect or drops at random
3. Bluetooth won't connect
4. No navigation maps accessible
5. No volume/sound at random
6. No Sirius XM
7. No FM/AM
8. Center screen constantly reboots
9. Center Screen goes dark (cycling headlight switch manually will sometimes restore it)
10. System memory settings are not retained (i.e. seat heaters/wheel on at start)
11. Key FOB will not store to user profile
12. User profiles do not retain settings
13. Seats do not return to position on memory panel settings
14. Air suspension sometimes does not perform entry/exit lowering
15. Air suspension sometimes drops in front, not rear
16. Touchless liftgate feature often doesn't work
17. Liftgate exterior/interior button sometimes to not operate power liftgate (have to pull up/down manually)
18. Locks sometimes only open driver door, vs all doors
19. Stereo volume sometimes stuck, even though the knobs show the volume 'number' going up and down
20. No speed limit sign in HUD display
21. 'Maps not available' on driver screen menu
22. Wireless charger/phone get very hot (fan output low to back seat, cupholders and console get warm, probably center ducting not connected correctly)
23. 'Autobrake' sometimes will not let car move at all (have to cycle ignition). Seatbelts on, etc, no reason for it.

There are other problems with the car, but that's at least *most* of the electrical stuff (hard to rememeber it all).

If anyone has had these issues and their dealer tech has found a solution, I would LOVE to be able to help my dealer fix my brand new $75k lemon. The problems started on day two, and have progressively gotten worse. It is infuriating to live with this... I fear the new car smell will be gone before I get to experience the benefit of my bargain, if ever.

10-13 yes, even after the "update" which didn't fix anything. 20 could be there is not one available. My GMC truck has HUD with speed limit shown both there and on the center driver info center and when it doesn't know the limit, it displays nothing. Same with our GCL SR.

I drove mine all the way from Arkansas to Wyoming (had to go there to find a V8 Overland with all the tech stuff (yay)) and it never once showed a speed limit on any major interstate, so I don't think it was due to the limit not being known over that entire 1500 miles.

Also the 'app' doesn't work anymore. It worked in some limited way at the dealer (didn't test remote start or see fuel available) but it showed it had 234 miles on it when it actually had ~50 miles on it on the odometer display. Now I can't even log into it.

Dropped mine off this AM at the dealer (3rd time) to figure out the uconnect rebooting issue. I'd highly recommend you open a case with Jeep corporate (make sure to get the case #) and also open a STAR case on the issue - you'll have access to better resources.

If I get it back after this and I so much as have 1 more reboot while I'm driving I'm going to file a lemon law on the vehicle. @JeepCares is very close to losing someone who's been with the brand for almost 15 years.

I'm pissed - Jeep was WAY late getting this vehicle to market for it to be this RAW. It has WAAAAY too many issues and nobody seems to be able to fix them. 5 recalls and pages of issues, completely unacceptable.

Good advice. This is my second Grand Cherokee (first was a 1999 first year V8 like this one) and I had to lemon law that one (it was a mess mechanically, too). I've had three Wranglers, which were great, but they were a YJ, TJ and an LJ (long wheelbase TJ) and were about as complicated as a garden tractor to work on. It seems Jeep just doesn't know how to do much more than the Wrangler.

Also, how did you go about opening a case with Jeep corporate or 'STAR'? Everything I find online just directs me to the dealer.

1-877-IAMJEEP - Ask to speak to a customer service representative and ask them to 1. Open a case on this issue 2. They will tell you the dealer has to open a star case to associate with the case you have open. My dealer told me the STAR case is just another set of resources they call when they can't figure out an issue.

Thank you!

I just got off the phone with them and read them the entire list above as well as the front door panel rattles from the speakers and the center tunnel getting hot (with little air coming out of the rear vents despite being cranked to high). They've created a case and are going to call the dealer.

I also asked if they do anything with regard to offering any form of compensation for the trouble and it sounds like it's limited to lemon law buybacks and offering additional warranty coverage (which I've already maxed out with my 8/125k Mopar plan, but maybe they'll change it to zero deductible or something) or some free oil changes/service for a couple of years. Not much, really.

They did say that this will give my dealer quicker access to top level techs on their end, so hopefully that helps get this resolved sooner. Maybe it's all just lip service, we'll see.

Good luck, My car is still there today and I've talked to them 3 times already this AM. Seems like they are actually trying pretty hard to fix this for once. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

My list:
1. Radio resetting sporadically - disconnects android auto and basically goes batshit. Of note is the fact that when I'm around strong wifi sources it seems to make the problem worse.
2. Wipers go full speed and don't slow down. The problem seems worse when the rain is more of mist
3. Door sills rattle at 80-140hz. Not a slight rattle and when you put in a McIntosh sound system it's unacceptable. First 2 times in the shop they said "normal operation" which I was not cool with. I believe this to be a design flaw. The doors feel and sound way too thin and are of terrible quality. The sound seems to come from the LED or window switch.

Not part of my above Uconnect list, but FWIW:

My McIntosh system vibrates my front door panels around the area between the door handles and the memory seat/massage buttons on both the driver and passenger side. They ordered a new speaker but I don't think the speaker is broken. The rattle is sort of a higher pitch chirpy rattle that goes away when I press the soft side of a closed fist against the interior trim panel between the door handles and seat memory buttons, like the wires on the back side of the panel aren't secured, or the buttons/switch are rattling. It's most noticeable at 1/2 to 3/4 volume with music like jazz (a standup bass frequency range will make it happen) or electronic 'chill' music where the upper bass is prevalent and isolated (i.e. not a lot of upper frequencies covering the rattle sound, like with rock/drums/guitar/vocals).

My wipers seem to function oddly at times, but I haven't figured out how the rain sensing wipers work yet so I figured it was my fault (pushing the wrong buttons or something).

An update from my recent dealer trip:

The dealer had just received a new scantool that is apparently required to see all the codes in the WL. When he connected it and downloaded all the errors, his reaction was "WOW, that's a LOT more codes than we were seeing before [with the old scantool). The system then output a massive PDF file with all the errors, which the STAR tech will then review to determine which parts to replace first.

The photo below shows all the modules reporting errors, and it is substantial. He said he has a STAR case open with a very good STAR technician that he has worked with on a lot of previous cases, and said that technician is a very knowledgeable and helpful person, who, once he has access to all the codes we just pulled, will absolutely start sending parts. It's also possible, based on my own experiences with current and past BMWs, that one single module could be causing all the problems (or it could be multiple modules).

One of the highly suspect modules is called the 'ETM', or Entertainment Telematic Module. This may also be why my Sirius XM doesn't even show a "Radio ID" number, among a raft of other things.

At least I might be getting somewhere. For others having problems like mine, make sure your dealer has the newest scantool to use with the WL. I will update this post with whatever modules end up proving faulty, if it helps others.

Lastly: Jeep asked for videos of the problematic behaviors, which I have been diligently recording. It helps them understand the nature of the issues. And if they can't figure it out, it will help the lawyers, too. So for everyone else having issues of any kind, make exhaustive videos of the problems. It will probably help you one way or another.

Uconnect/Radio issues - freezing, rebooting while driving, loud static then reboots, apps not working, SOS unavailable message, assist not connecting, hotspot not working, Static from all speakers just opening the door, XM hardware failure message. Now I am getting static boxes on the dash and while driving I have had it show me doing 50 in park.

The radio module has been replaced and it corrected the static and rebooting issue but I the weather app just flashes the screen, Alexa app is missing, dash is still going static once in a while, the heated steering wheel has now stopped working.. light comes on and goes out (seats work so its not a fuse), a few times when passing to turn off Jeep it will switch back to run (after Jeep is off) and I still get odd transmission shifts once in a while but no codes.

Seems like an electrical issues going on with mine and I am working on a buyback, dealers have had for over 40 days and I just got this beginning of Aug.
Some of the issues below, I even get into the radio back-end and see files within from the wireless connection, the one pic even shows "Android System".

So I guess it has not been fully fixed and seems new issues starting with the dash, heated wheel and push start button. Really does not seem safe with electrical issues popping up... who knows..
