Update- Jeep did call me to ask about the Uconnect issues on going after my service visit. They said if the issues continue to occur consistently after the update was completed last week to call back but at this time there's not much they can do until a new software update is released. Not the answer I was hoping for. If your having the same issues let the dealer and Jeep know so hopefully it pushes an update through faster.

New user and GCL owner here. Just bought a Laredo last Friday and so far loving it.

One issue I noticed with mine is that when I set the headlight switch to Auto mode the high beams do not work. If I switch it to manual ON mode then the high beams do work.

I spoke with Jeep this morning. They gave me a call after I had a chat with support late last night. They said engineers are aware of the issue and are working on a fix that should HOPEFULLY be out in the next month or so.

I traded in my 2020 WK North editon with 11k miles for this. I sure hope I didn't make a mistake.

I'm following up with @JeepCares Monday on mine, I'm still having connection issue I had to reset the radio multiple times this weekend end to get it to connect at all. They need to get on these software bugs, I didn't pay an extra $1,800 for a radio to only work some of the time. My Uconnect in my Durango and Gladiator work with out issue

Just joined the forum - wish I had seen this before I posted my issue. 113 miles/66 hours into ownership and ours went back to the dealership, where its been for 7 days, and they have no clue what's wrong with it.

8.4" or 10.1" screen? The backend computer is different depending on which you have (screen is separate for the computer module). I have been in 4 times now and it is still freezing. I have the 8.4 and the "Weather" app does nothing but flashes the screen and the "Alexa" app has disappeared after it was there and working fine after the last time in.

Has anyone been able to solve the Service 4 Wheel Drive light issue?

I've had my GCL since July. The light comes on spontaneously. I can't get it to the dealership fast enough in order for them to scan it. By the time I get there, the light has already shut off. I've opened up two cases with Jeep Customer Care but they are useless. All they could tell me was to bring it to the dealership when the light comes on.

My biggest concern is if the car is safe and if not treating the problem is going to create a bigger problem down the line.

I was so excited for this truck but regretting my purchase at this point.

Even the light goes off it gets logged and there’s way for techs to recover/lookup the warning light code details. Mine popped up And went away, and after driving around 350 miles they were still able to look up the original warning

Having same service 4wd issue as everyone else. Bought the car 2 days ago, service 4wd on with less than 250 miles on the car. Really hopeful there is actually a fix and I don’t have to take it in multiple times. It’s at the dealer now. I think 3 visits for the same issue is all you need for Lemon law IIRC.

I have over 4000 miles and mine is back in again for the same issue. Service 4WD immediately message. Had to be cleared by dealer. I have 3 pages of issues and legal action is taking place. I believe that this issue, and most of my other issues are due to faulty wiring/loose connectors. My dealer has my vehicle attached to a data acquisition device to capture data in real time, think digital tape recorder. They literally have a box sitting in the vehicle collecting data while they drive it. They have had the vehicle in their possession and the service manager is daily driving it to log all of this data to determine a root cause.

Your 4WD issue could be related to other issues, such as mine. Grab a snickers bar, its gonna be a while.

Update:
Dealer cleaned a ground and unplugged and reconnected a few wires. Fixed for a few days. Now, 2 days after pickup “ALM service required” message. Gonna have to go back for service again. Less than a week of ownership. Truly disgraceful. I’ll be opening a case. If this car goes back one more time I’m pressing for a replacement car. Never had such a bad experience with a brand new car.

Sucks to hear of all the issues. I just dropped mine off today to get the recalls fixed.

In my personal experience with Jeep and a new Renegade I had they will not replace your vehicle. My renegade spent more time at the dealer than it did at my house, even had it there for 21 days once. Jeep reimbursed me one month's payment but wouldn't not even entertain the idea of a buy back.

I wish you luck on this. Let everyone know how it turns out. I had a car once that had a problem with random power loss like it was fuel starved. Only happened every now and then but when it did it would actually stall out and wouldn’t run for awhile. Then after awhile it would start and run w no issues until whenever it would happen again. They hooked up a device just like you are describing. It happened several times w it hooked up the device. Even so, they were not able to determine what the problem was. I got rid of the car shortly after that. That was many years ago though. Technology has improved drastically so hopefully they can fix it.

I bought a GCL at the beginning of the month. There were a few cosmetic issues we found in the tail light and a few small chips of paint, all of which the dealer stated they would fix. Within 72-hrs, the computer "fritzed out"- windshield wipers wouldn't stop moving, Bluetooth wouldn't work, the volume wouldn't work, the speedometer wouldn't work, right and left turn signals wouldn't work, etc etc. The dealer picked it up within two hours (and we live an hour and a half away). The dealer requested to take back the vehicle and requested we consider a different vehicle. They provided a vehicle that had an extra option that my wife wanted (sunroof) and in the color she wanted (previously settled). The dealer went out of their way to make it up to us and work with our bank. They have been phenomenal.

Today, the service 4WD light came on. We shall see what happens next.
