Trailhawk? Got the same message todayjust got this from Jeep chat "I can see all the required materials for your order have been gathered and the plant has sequenced your order for production, it should be entering the build very soon!" Order date is 1/13/2022
Congrats!I finally pulled the trigger on my order through a broker/dealer. I was waiting for Midnight Sky to become available but I wanted to lock in my pricing in case of more increases so I went with a GC SR fully loaded in black with Global Black interior. Worth noting the dealer said the only colors available were Black, White, Gray, SIlver, and Red. No idea if that is true but I like Black so no biggie. 500.00 fee to broker, 500.00 deposit to dealer. Got 7.5% off of MSRP if FCA Affiliates is accepted on this or 6.5% if it isn't. Plus any available incentives and another 7500.00 off if I lease (tax break that goes to Jeep) but I will likely purchase and then get that back on my taxes. Overall I am VERY happy with the experience. They said I should have my VIN in a week or so; Grain of salt there lol
I checked with Jeep chat today and they said it's still awaiting parts. I'm going to try my dealer tomorrow to see if he's heard of anything.Anyone with 4xe’s got a recent update?
If chat says they are still waiting for parts, dealer wont tell u anything different.I checked with Jeep chat today and they said it's still awaiting parts. I'm going to try my dealer tomorrow to see if he's heard of anything.
What are the flaws in the process? All of that seems pretty logical with only some minor date changes which I think are expected.I would advise all of you that are in the queue to realize that the system has many flaws in the process. Here are the notes from my current process:

damn your car is so close to me. I am across the river in Baton Rouge. Maybe I will drive by the railyard and pick your car up, since mine is still waiting for sequencing. Which dealer did you order from? I ended up going out of state for that sweet 8.5% discount since the BR delaers all wanted to charge me MSRP.I would advise all of you that are in the queue to realize that the system has many flaws in the process. I think he is trying to say that while people are waiting for more than 2 months to get into production, his car is already available to be picked up. Thats a huge flaw IMO.What are the flaws in the process? All of that seems pretty logical with only some minor date changes which I think are expected.
I don't think the process is completely illogical, it just could use some tweaking. What are the flaws in the process? All of that seems pretty logical with only some minor date changes which I think are expected.
Yup I ordered the 4xe. Hopefully I haven't been lied to about that tax break I confirmed it with 8 dealerships when doing my shopping. I think the Residual will actually be a little better than the non plug in just based on the wrangler 4xe vs regular but who knows. Most of of the FCA stuff seems to hover around that 2.49%/0.00104 area but again who knows what it will be when it comes in. Still waiting to hear back from my insurance rep on the pricing for my build because he just doesn't have those numbers yet. He doesn't seem to think it will be anymore expensive than my current vehicle but I have a 2019 Range Rover Velar so I expect it to be cheaper. It better be lolCongrats!
I assume you ordered the 4xe? Great to hear that the tax break is credited on a lease. I've seen that with other plug-in hybrids before but not all manufacturers are giving that credit to the customer when leasing.
Hopefully, the MF and residual isn't much worse than on the regular ones. On a Volvo XC60 I checked out once, almost the entire credit was 'swallowed' by a worse than normal lease offer. Also curious if auto insurance will be higher which is the case on some hybrids, too.
While you as an individual might want their build queue to be “first in, first out” (aka FIFO), I would expect that they have instead designed it to maximize efficiency, increasing overall throughput. That allows them to serve the most customers the fastest, even if it means some orders take longer than others.
Using completely made up numbers, imagine a FIFO queue in which every order is served in exactly 6 weeks, versus an efficiency queue in which the majority of orders are served in 4 weeks, but a small number are served in 8. I get that when you’re the guy whose order takes longer, it might feel flawed, but when you consider the big picture, it’s the right move to make.
”Dear future Jeep owner,I completely understand from a FIFO perspective, I’m okay with the fact that they need to sequence based on supply constraints and ship based on geography and logistics. I’m more focused on transparency of process with appropriate caveats. Just tell us what’s been done and what’s next. I would love it to be as transparent as the Dominos pizza app
we are out of peperoni so your order has been moved to the back of the queue!”Dear future Jeep owner,
Your car has completed cheese, and is now awaiting pepperonI.”
