I had this issue in my 2021 GCL and took it in to the dealer. I believe they replaced something and it worked fine since then. Mine was happening randomly as well so it was hard to show it to the dealer. This was in 2021 so can't remember exactly what they did.

How did you get into the engine bay through the front firewall? I hooked up my hitch wiring to the main battery under the drivers seat. Not sure why the instructions does not recommend that given it's the easier solution.

The Harness looks way more expensive than the etrailer one. Any reason for that? The hitch looks very similar to what they have on etrailer.
