Got a status update on my V8 that all parts have been received and will enter the build process soon. I'm assuming that's the D1 status. What happens after this? How long does it take for it to get shipped?
Awesome, when did you order?Got a status update on my V8 that all parts have been received and will enter the build process soon. I'm assuming that's the D1 status. What happens after this? How long does it take for it to get shipped?
I ordered on Jul 16 I believeAwesome, when did you order?
How do you get updates from Jeff? Is there a way to sign up?I ordered May 3. Just received this email this morning, August 3.
Hello Mr. Smith,
This is a courtesy email update regarding your Jeep Grand Cherokee L factory order status.
I show your order has been sequenced for production with all the parts necessary to begin building your order either being scheduled or gathered. Your order presently has an estimated production plan timing projected to take place the week of 08-09-21. Please keep in mind, this timing is estimated and could be subject to change.
I will be following up with you for your order updates as soon as there are additional updates to share on your order. Additional email responses received will be queued and responded to within this time-frame only. If you require immediate assistance pertaining to any ordering questions or concerns, we encourage you to speak with your ordering dealership who is your best resource for any ordering questions you may have related to your factory order.
Thank you for your loyalty and we’re proud to have you as a member of the Jeep Family!
Sincerely,
Jeff

V6 or V8?I ordered on Jul 16 I believe
If you chat on Jeeps website, and they escalate your case, they turn it over to Jeff. He will not reply to emails, only email you when there is a status change. Just as easy to check with your dealer to see if there is a status change. Jeff with Jeep will not give out any other information. How do you get updates from Jeff? Is there a way to sign up?
V8. Guess all the V8s are being sequenced for production. Not sureV6 or V8?
VPN and spoof location to US. Jeep Chat wont know where you are located.I ordered a GC L Summit Reserve V8 on May 8th. Been in D status for weeks. The problem for me I am in Canada and don't have the same access to contact Jeep chat like the US customers do. They say contact the dealer but they have no info for me. Anyone else in the same situation or has any advice to get additional info on updates?
I ordered mine June 3 and they say I have a vin # nowVPN and spoof location to US. Jeep Chat wont know where you are located.
VIN# generated basically means your vehicle has an identify now. It exists in the ether of vehicles in United States (although its not physically build yet and does not actually exist).I ordered mine June 3 and they say I have a vin # now
What’s that mean
When I tried to generate the build sheet withy VIN, I get an empty PDF that says no records found. The dealer and jeep Customer care had told me that mine is in D1 status. Am I missing something here?VIN# generated basically means your vehicle has an identify now. It exists in the ether of vehicles in United States (although its not physically build yet and does not actually exist).
You can use the VIN# to track the built and production by talking to Jeep Chat on the website. Once the vehicle is scheduled to be build (D1 status), you can go on the following website but plug your vin at the end of the link and get the full build specs. Later once the car is released from final quality, you can use the vin# again to get the window sticker. I have the link for the window sticker below also.
Build Sheet: https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=1C4RJKEG7M81XXXXX
Window Sticker: https://www.jeep.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=1C4RJKEG7M81XXXXX
(replace the 5 X's at the end with your actual VIN last 5 digits)
Basically, if your Build Sheet shows up, your car has actually started manufacturing. If your window sticker shows up, your car has most likely cleared final inspection and is ready to be shipped out.
Hope this helps!
Does the MSRP on your sticker read the same as the MSRP on your original order? It was at least six weeks between when the build sheet was available and when the window sticker showed up, for my Summit. It was shipped to storage for a while awaiting some parts for "options I ordered," according to Jeep Cares. But supposedly it's in transit now. Ordered on June 9. And both the build sheet and sticker shows it has the eLSD. Would not have been happy if Jeep had deleted it.
This was not true for my GCL Summit Reserve. I was able to see my build sheet the day it went into build. I know this because I confirmed the status with my dealer.Build sheet is available once the Jeep has been built. Then the next day the window sticker is available.
This is my mistake. The build sheet should be available when your vehicle is past the D1 status and into E status. When I tried to generate the build sheet withy VIN, I get an empty PDF that says no records found. The dealer and jeep Customer care had told me that mine is in D1 status. Am I missing something here?
