One of those stupid air dams was finally ripped off on a snow bank. So I had to cut the other one off. Glad it happened. Now I’ll try a rougher road in the spring. Last year I stopped driving a road because those stupid air dams were scraping.

The outer ones were held in on by plastic and easily pried off (that’s the piece that came off on its own). The inner ones were more secure with metal pins/rivets. I couldn’t pry them off. There may have been an easy way, but I cut the pins with a sawsall. Good riddance and now I don’t have to worry about scraping them.

(Don’t take this the wrong way but maybe Jeep installs these to warn the driver that they have left the pavement.)

Fair warning to those who take these air dams off, there will be a square hole visible on the lower fascia. 8D80F0DC-765C-44FE-86A8-F851C5683A0F.jpeg

'Wow' is your response, Jake? Like, because I nailed it?

Well, if my Hemi w/ eLSD and Quadralift is a mall crawler (my pic you purposely stole from the other forum you're banned from for trolling 🤦‍♂️, without so much as photo credit 😢), then what's a V6 with open diffs riding on 20" street tires, with big plastic mud flaps, and the front aero tabs removed? It seems like a specific use case, like 'parking in a hurry!'

If your rig were going off pavement in terrain where you'd need those tabs removed, you'd have A/T tires to help the open diffs, along with skids, sliders, and flexible rubber mud flaps. But it seems like you have a perfect setup for not worrying about the parking stops at the mall. 🤓
