I'll have to try this. I've notice the whistling only on the driver side and it's embarrassing trying to show off my new GCL. LOLI've now found a simple fix for the whistling mirrors! I used the rubberized Gorilla tape over the "whistle-like holes" in the mirrors and the whistle is 100% gone. It's a simple 10 minute fix.
1) fold the mirror in and you'll see 2 square holes.
2) cut the rubber tape to the contour of the plastic part you can see.
3) apply tape over the holes, then extend the mirror back out. DONE and whistle is gone!

This is much easier and cleaner than trying to fill the vertical part with silicone, as it says to do in the TSB. Unless I'm seeing the TSB wrong, you would never be able to fold your mirror in after is was siliconed in that location.
