Whistling Sound While Driving

The dealership I went to Lakeland Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram said it was a design flaw and didn’t want to do anything else with it… very frustrating.
I found how to fix that problem just whit $10… and let me tell you something WORKS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT….

I put a rubber pad on the gap of the mirror and the problem was solved clean and flawless, I drove from Miami to NC. and don't hear anything from the mirror this pad works perfectly and the mirror can be folded and unfolded and you even notice the rubber pads are there.

Not sure where my noise is coming from but it started only making it when I would turn and it was more like a rubbing/sputtering noise. It happened before and now it's making it again. Dealership said they couldn't figure it out. Besides all the noise it makes, my 4 wd light has come on 5-7 times and won't fully go away I have taken it to the dealership and there is no fix. The low oil pressure comes on and off all the time. that won't go away or code. The lights flash for me to "break" at a complete stop and beeps at me. The dash bored doesn't show the image of the car as if I was close or indicate there is something I am too close to. The Jeep has completely shut off on me at a stop and then come back on randomly. I barely had my Jeep 3 months and have 3800 Miles on it. I am at the dealership every week to 2 weeks and twice a week on bad weeks.

Don't even try getting in touch with Chrysler trying to get a claim. They have denied me 5 times and all they do is offer me to get a car through Enterprise and pay out of pocket and will reimburse me later. My jeep stays at the dealership 4 days and I have to hitch rides. Chrysler is the worst customer service ever. The 3 different agents that I have put in all my claims in wrong and the Manager called me saying they didn't do it right. They should submit all claims together and as long as I can drive the Jeep they don't see anything wrong with it. They deny, deny and deny. I never know what is going to happen on my way to work. The biggest issue is the Jeep shuts off automatically and they think I am lying bc they can't make it happen! I hope one day it doesn't shut off on the highway and an 18 wheeler doesn't hit me from behind. Jeep doesn't care they just want our money.

How did you fit the rubber pad in place like that? I think this could be the perfect fix. I just bought a brand new Cherokee L, noticed the exact same wind noise and found if i pulled the mirror in just a hair the noise went away completely.

Fold the mirror in, then tape a cut piece and slip it in. The. Press down on it for the adhesive to set, then trim down and shape with an x-acto

Just wanted to add that our WL has this same whistling issue and our local dealer has no clue how to address it. I’ll be trying the diy fix above asap. Thanks for sharing it!

I am having issues with cabin noise in my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WL - Limited, which I just bought on March 5. I believe it is wind noise from the windshield and not the tires, but could be the side mirrors. It is horrible! It sounds like static on the radio, but it's definitely the wind. I am about to seek the dealership troubleshooting, but not too sure if they will fix it correctly. Any insight or have dealers fixed your issues? I am extremely happy I did not pay over $60k for an Overland or Trailhawk edition with this wind noise. I am extremely disappointed and upset. I am pretty sure this is why the dealer didn't want me to take it on the highway. "It has just enough gas to go around a few blocks," they said. Any insight would be a great help. Thanks!
