Recall confusion

So Jeep sends me a recall notice on the airbag issue. I check the NHTSA website, input the Vin, no current recalls . Then , I check the official Mopar website recall page, it says the recall was done on November 11, when I took the Jeep in for a seat issue. That is a month ago. Is there that much lag time in the system ? If The Mopar site, and the NHTSA have it right, why does JEEP send out the recall notice ?

I had my jeep into the dealer for recall Y79/NHTSA 21V-873 Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) module software update. The recall was completed and mopar.com showed the recall completed. Yesterday I got a notice that I have an open recall for Y79. When I checked mopar.com it now shows Y79 as incomplete. I don't get it as I already had the dealer perform the service for this recall. Something is screwed up somewhere. Either their tracking system is messed up or perhaps the recall fix was changed requiring further updates.

Hi @MotownBob,
Have you had a chance to get this recall completed? And if so, does the recall now show closed?

And @Mike1597,
Does the recall show complete for you as well?

Y79 recall shows as incomplete on both Mopar and NHTSA.
It is strange because I had the dealer perform the Y79 recall fix on Nov 18. after which the recall status then changed from incomplete to complete on the Mopar website. Then some weeks later the Y79 status changed back from complete to incomplete.
I plan to take it back to the dealer again for Y79 when I schedule service for the Y72 recall.

I have issue with my recalls not showing complete also.
21V-950
21V-873
Both were done beginning of December and both still show not done?

Hi @Mike1597 and @Rollerbones,
Do you each have the repair orders from the dealership? If so feel free to follow up in PM with a copy of that and we'll be happy to look into this further.

I talked to the dealer yesterday and they corrected and it now shows complete. I still need to get the headlight updated done. (really, updates for headlights now). :)

Thanks
