I know there is a separate thread on battery drain, but want to start this to help those that will randomly encounter the issue and what to do. Our GCL Overland has been having issues with battery drain and after 2 service appointments, one where they had it for a week, nothing was found. The battery is consistently measuring 12.3 on a voltmeter which is low. I bought a BlueDriver code reader from Amazon and sure enough we had a rear latch circuit fault where the lift gate pinch sensor circuit 2 is open. This will drain the battery! Dealer opened up a STAR ticket and Jeep would not pay for the new module because the fault was not currently active. It's just showing as happening multiple times in the past. So... Rather than fooling around and waiting for another moment to jump this damn thing, I paid $205 for the dealer to replace the module ($50 for the part, $150 for labor). Guess what... Since it was replaced, battery now regularly reading 12.6 volts.
Jeep cares... Get your shit together. This is KNOWN issue. If you are going to sell cars for $65k... offer the service for it. I've had better service at frickin' Kia.....
Which brings me to the extended Mopar warranty. What they hell is the point of buying a warranty if Jeep won't acknowledge there is an issue? Love this truck, but Jeep has been a bag of dicks on this......
