@redriderbob I hate to be critical but take this comment as constructive criticism.
Thanks for publishing this article that points to this issue of the Air Suspension. Many here know about this so is fair that people know whats going on from a formal source.
But you left out significant details:
1. Jeep is providing the $750 credit for the delete, but at the same time is adding $695 for a tow prep that was supposed to be std for Overland/Summit 4x4. In other words basically no credit for a major feature being removed.
2. Base Price in most models has been hiked as well at the same time they started deleting the Air Suspension. Overland 4x4 was $54,995 and now is 55,495. Its no small increase especially if you are deleting stuff and adding charges for features that were included on the Tow Prep.
3. You point correctly in the article that all Overland/Summit and Reserve are being deleted of the Air Suspension but thats on the Build Tool which is never accurate to begin with. SR is still being shipped with the Air Suspension and at no moment has been added the delete credit.
Also all Hemi orders, even Overland and Summit still have the Air suspension. So they have deleted the feature in V6 Overland ans Summit only (as of today)
I appreciate what this forum and Mopar Insiders offer to everyone here and the work it takes to maintain it, but I would point out to issues like this because you are leaving key information out that makes the article incomplete.
