Quadra-Lift Air Suspension No longer Available

My dealer just told me that the 2022 GCL is not equipped with QL Air Suspension and Jeep has not given any indication on when it might be available again.
I was hoping by now to order a 2022 Grand Cherokee Summit 2-row. But I will definitely not order one without the Quadra Lift unless, of course, Jeep were to take $3000 off the price and not the measly $750 dollars. I might just go with the L instead.

Curious how they know this since dealer allocation has not yet opened for 2022 GCL.
It was supposed to happen yesterday 9/3 but the options in the ordering system as of yestersay, are still only for 2021. My dealer told me the allocation call is expected next thursday 9/9.
If your dealer can really order 2022, ask them for what colors are available, its the major change coming besides hands-free driving, maybe.

Wow... I guess I got lucky. Put a down payment on a an "in production" Overland in mid-July that is finally shipping this week. I was able to look up the window sticker with the VIN and thankfully, the air suspension has not been deleted. Fingers crossed when it gets here.

Was just looking at a dealership nearby and saw these two similar OL models. Look at the base price difference. It’s $500 more for the OL without air suspension and then they are also charging you the $695 for the tow package. So In the end you are paying $445 for a truck without are suspension.
way to go Jeep. Wtf

It's been said a few times before 750 for deleting the air suspension is BS. Jeeps pulling some shady stuff here. @JeepCares - not like you actually care - bahahaha

Are there any updates here? I placed an order for a Summit Reserve V8 Aug 31st. How do I know if my build will have air suspension and adaptive damping?

Contact your dealer, he can track your build and let you know if anything changes. My dealer checked everyday for me to see if there were any changes in my build.

I have not seen any V8's being deleted of the air suspension. Neither on Summit Reserve's. That could change, but it seems they are only deleting in all V6's (Overland and Summit)

@redriderbob I hate to be critical but take this comment as constructive criticism.
Thanks for publishing this article that points to this issue of the Air Suspension. Many here know about this so is fair that people know whats going on from a formal source.
But you left out significant details:

1. Jeep is providing the $750 credit for the delete, but at the same time is adding $695 for a tow prep that was supposed to be std for Overland/Summit 4x4. In other words basically no credit for a major feature being removed.

2. Base Price in most models has been hiked as well at the same time they started deleting the Air Suspension. Overland 4x4 was $54,995 and now is 55,495. Its no small increase especially if you are deleting stuff and adding charges for features that were included on the Tow Prep.

3. You point correctly in the article that all Overland/Summit and Reserve are being deleted of the Air Suspension but thats on the Build Tool which is never accurate to begin with. SR is still being shipped with the Air Suspension and at no moment has been added the delete credit.
Also all Hemi orders, even Overland and Summit still have the Air suspension. So they have deleted the feature in V6 Overland ans Summit only (as of today)

I appreciate what this forum and Mopar Insiders offer to everyone here and the work it takes to maintain it, but I would point out to issues like this because you are leaving key information out that makes the article incomplete.

Are you just speculating, or, are you stating facts? Not to sound condescending, but definitive information would be greatly appreciated.

I think your overall point on the article not doing a detailed review of the situation is accurate, the article 1) headlines like jeep completely deleted the feature from their offering vs having intermittent shortages affecting a chunk of the units going out the door 2) spends way too many words covering off on the details of the QL feature. However, I think the article was also meant to be narrow in scope to just the QL shortage not the overall price action on the GC, I hypothesize the base price hike and QL were not connected, possibly even the tow package change was not connected either.

In my opinion hat we are seeing here is bad optics from two disconnected actions happening at the same time
action 1: shortages of QL and price credit of $750
action 2: high demand pushing jeep to both raise prices and make some previously standard features extra cost.
I will allow the tow package change is a head scratcher, the cars which are being delivered with QL are also still being delivered with the tow package as standard right?

Jeep probably knows that the cohort of customers paying close enough attention to even notice those actions together is small, and in all likelihood will not affect sales

Agree with most of what you write.
However the portion about the article meant to be narrow in scope is part of the problem.
The actions of deleting the QL, providing a credit and at the same time adding Tow and hiking up the Base are NOT unrelated. They happened at the same time, not in separate moments.
You cannot publish this article saying they are having issues with parts and for that reason customers are getting a credit, then leave it there.
It sounds great right? I mean no one likes to miss features but “at least you are getting a credit, congrats!
In the same article a print screen is shown where you highlight the credit but cant highlight to the obvious adder a few lines above, and neither mentioned that the base price is also higher.

My loaded Summit is set to be here next week, just found out this was deleted, I just told the dealer to keep it, I didn’t buy this vehicle/trim to be missing this feature…Sucks, I want my GC-L bad but I’m not willing to compromise.
What was your VIN? Did you look up the build sheet?

I had no idea that this would even be an issue so I was just trying g to forget about the jeep during the process, but my dealer called me and said it should be in this coming week, I saw this topic on here, looked up the build sticker and saw a $750 credit , promptly called them and told them I would not be buying the jeep…They are a great dealership, and are working to find one for me or order me a 2022 assuming they ship those complete….I love what they did with the new GCL but I’m paying a premium for a premium product and I want the features that make it such…I understand omitting small items to a degree but this is absolutely unacceptable….I’d much rather jeep not ship my vehicle and just wait…on top of that the $750 credit is a slap in the face imho, though to be honest even if it was a $3000 credit I wouldn’t want it either…..At this point, I might just wait for a 4xe assuming I can get that the same way in SR trim.

Was it an order out or did you buy a dealer pre-ordered unit? If the dealer ordered it for you when did they do so? I have not seen a Summit Reserve V8 without Air Suspension and this makes me very nervous. I ordered my SR V8 in May. I will NOT accept it without the Air Suspension.
