Ordered my Summit Reserve

Great dealer. Got it for 1% below invoice. Also got my trade allowance based on my numbers using the various pricing websites. As the trade values are artificially very high at this time, I signed over trade to him yesterday. I was concerned that the trade value would be greatly reduced by delivery date.

May I ask where you ordered? Did you need a deposit?

Rentschler Jeep, Slatington. Pa. Since I already surrendered my trade to them they are holding my funds, so, a deposit wasn't discussed.

I also ordered my Summit on 1 July in Fargo ND. Got 4% below book. Received a great trade in on my Gladiator. I did shop around at 4 other dealers in Minneapolis. Great deals there as well.
I gave them the vehicle and gave them a deposit. Gladiator was paid off. I also did not want to see a depreciation in 8 to 12 weeks.

My order was submitted yesterday. Today, the dealer said a Vin has been assigned and the process is in"D" status. Pretty quick. Hopefully, the whole process moves along on a timely basis.

If you ordered a V6 you might be right. I ordered a Summit R Hemi in late May, had a VIN in a few days w/ D status… where it’s sat since then.

I'm not towing but like power especially on the interstate. Is the Summit Reserve with a V6 a mistake? New to the forum. Seriously considering the Grand Cherokee L as my next vehicle. There is just so much coming out in the next year and change and its tempting to wait. I am coming from an Audi Q5 so I like a European suspension and tight steering. I have only been able to drive the Limited so far. Feels good, but want to experience the Summit Reserve. What do you think I will experience between the two? I feel like the market is already crazy with low inventory and markups... Any advice is appreciated, and feel free to punt me to another active forum if necessary?

Thanks!

I ordered my Summit on 29 June. Went to the dealership today to see if I had received a VIN yet. Answer was no. Can anyone tell me how long before we get a VIN number? Already gave them my trade. Cash up front. I thought 12 weeks was long but acceptable. At this rate 2022’s will be out?

Thoughts or comments.
