Opinion on the AC

We’ve had our 2021 GCL for about 2 weeks with daily temps over 100 degrees. The AC seems “ok” to me but not as strong as I’ve had in other cars. One of my kids complained that the 3rd row takes a while to cool down and doesn’t blow real hard, even on Max AC. What are your experiences?

I agree that the ac is not super cold. Additionally, I find that the fan is a bit loud even at the lower settings like 1 and 2. I am accustomed to the fan being virtually silent at those settings in other cars. Is anyone else noticing this?

I have to put it all the way on high for it to really push out good. Not sure if its a design or computer issue setting that can be adjusted to even out through the speeds better.

Something I do notice on mine.. it was 70 out last night. I had AC off and temp turned to LO and heat still came out the vents. Not sure that is even normal.

Hi! Tried to grab anyone who mentioned an issue here so we can assist. If I missed someone, please also feel free to reach out. Our team is in private message to discuss concerns further!

I noticed mine is not ice cold either but then my 2020 WK was pretty much the same. I sort of figured that was the new norm but maybe not.

i had to sit in the back with my dog on monday (with all seats down), it was really hot and had the ac on full blast and never cooled down and very loud sounding. living in alaska its not that hot outside right now and we can roll down the windows but that's besides the point. i also think something is wrong with the AC and how small the vents are in the front suck, it's really hard to get them in the perfect spot

I have the factory tint but am thinking about adding some after market tint for this reason.
I got ceramic tint installed. 35% on the front and limo blackout (5%) on all of the back windows and on the sunroof. It was expensive but well worth the money. You can tell a huge difference from the tinted windows and the windshield that is not tinted.

I've also noticed that the air blows extremely loud, even on the first setting.

If your fan is loud and it’s only on the first few settings check the rear seat control (do from your Uconnect screen “rear” seat. Your back may have the fan turned up which will run it like that, turn it down or “Sync” with drive to see if that helps.

In my 2011 Grand Cherokee I would always use the Auto AC setting to keep a comfortable temperature. But I can't in my new L. The Auto setting keeps the fan speed at a 4 or 5. Way too loud! Now I just manually set the temperature and put the fan speed to a 1.

Mine feels super cold. I have mine set to 22 Celsius which is not low at all but even at that setting, it gets so cold in the morning that within 5-10 minutes, a lower part of the windshield starts fogging.
