Did you have any problems getting your TPMS sensors to update? I went with XD Heist wheels, but I can't get my TPMS sensors to sync up.
Yes a nitemare. After trying 2 aftermarkets, i found a set of Schraders. They were supposed to be OEM without the Mopar logo, and when those didnt work I gave up.

From a wrangler forum but probably applies here:

All JKs and JL up to build date 6/5/21 can use Schrader 20398. This sensor does not have TFA capability.

Those same years can also use a 29093 (also 29117) which does have TFA capability so if your Jeep is equipped it will work.

After 6/5/21 (or close to it because we have three different dates from Jeep) the sensor completely changed due to Schrader being out of 29093 so they changed it to a 29057 which is also the same sensor in most Ram 1500 trucks.

These two sensors are not cross compatible and will not work in each other vehicle.

Thanks for the info! So how can I figure out which one I have? Would the dealership be able to tell, or would they just be replacing and guessing?

Wow! Awesome. You have a very high standard for upgrades! 😀
BTW, you can remove the photo showing the license plate due to anonymousness. I will definitely check the website as well. Thanks for sharing your precious GCL!

So if i tried the Shrader 29057 and they didn’t symc up automatically, safe to say i need either the 29093 or 29117? My build date is June 2021 so im guessing im in the first 5 days based on your post.

Yes, they come on with the ignition. I wired the grd to the negative battery post and wired positive via add-a-fuse to one of the fuses in the box.
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Was there a particular spot in the fuse box? And was it just like a 15amp fuse? :)

I called my dealer and ordered a set of factory TMPS for $60 each, they should have them in a few days. I also learned the hard way on my other cars trying to get aftermarket sensors to work.

Looks great Blaster9!
New to the forum - coming from a 2021 Defender and have a 2022 GC Summit Reserve on order.
Question - any issues with brake caliper clearance going from the 21" to the 18" ?
Is yours a V6 or V8? I seem to have read the V8's have larger calipers and thus going to 18's may not work?
Thanks!

I’d be very interested to hear if these actually work and if they arrive (ive been told they’re backordered for months). Please post the part number if they do! I gave up after multiple attempts with “OEM” sensors and found a sweet set of Chinese valve caps with TPMS built in lol

So welcome! What made you come over from the defender?

I had no issues RE brake caliper clearance with the V6. I believe both have the same size brake calipers if you get the factory tow package but that could be my WK2 knowledge talking.

Oh great, he never mentioned them being back ordered! He just said the WL being so new they don't carry parts for them yet and it would take 3-4 days to get them. Lets see...can you share the ones you used that are working? Just in case these don't show up by next Friday, i might have to get those. Unless i can just turn off TPMS and not have to see an annoying light or error message everytime like i did on my previous car, lol.

I will post pics and part # if i do get them. I did some googling and came across a part number for them but i wasn't sure if that was 100% accurate. I didn't have time to risk ordering them and not getting them on time or being the wrong ones.

I saw in videos that it was a problem on defenders going to a smaller rim, haven’t seen that about the jeeps tho

What an amazing build!! Your Jeep looks absolutely amazing! I feel like it would look more badass if you blacked out the chrome, but that's just my opinion. Overall, amazing and lovely build.

Some fresh pics of the current setup. Added a 12k harbor freight winch to a trailer mount + a Gen-Y drop hitch so i can pull the trailer and still have winch mounted up. IMG_1282.jpgIMG_1498.jpgIMG_1537.jpg
