More problems

We've had our L for about 6 months and basically just been dealing with the problems. Finally the power steering went out and I took it to the shop. A google search brought me here. I really wish I was the only one having problems but it seems like this vehicle was released before it was ready for prime time. Below is a list of what I've run into so far.

Power steering warning/power steering not working
Multiple lane deviation warnings/system stops working
Check trailer connection warning anytime I'm hooked to any trailer
Front accident avoidance doesn't do anything? I could literally drive his thing into a brick wall ?
Radio screen black/flashed/reboots- forget about wireless apple carplay
key fobs inop-no remote start at times
app does not function
buzz in radio speakers-even when the system is off
seat memory/fob memory does whatever it wants
rear air suspension seems stationary? I thought this system raised when hooked to a trailer ?
SOS/assist buttons don't work or even light up

To put this in perspective, we've had about 8-9 brand new vehicles over the years and I've never even had one with this many issues over 3 years...let alone 5k miles.

Welcome to the island of misfit GC L’s. Your experiences are similar to mine and others unfortunately. I would either sell, sue, or return it to dealer if they are good. Welcome to the $75K beta test. Your cooperation is paramount for FCA to make flawless vehicles for 2022 GCL and grand wagoneer owners. You will be rewarded with nothing but headaches and endless legal fees.

We have had nothing but issues as well, including most you have listed above. It's crazy these things are still on the market. They all need to be recalled and refunded , it is by far the worst car/jeep we have ever owned. Anyone reading this, do not buy the GCL, don't do it!

DOZENS of problems, ALL electrical. The only 'system' that kind of works reliably on my car is the night vision (although it misses some animals, thinks buses and snowplows are buffalo apparently... but it turns on reliably. Unlike FM, XM, NAV, CarPlay, or the whole Uconnect system, or my HVAC. And then there's the rattles, the water spots inside the headlights, the bent fender, etc etc etc. Memory setting? Mine was born with alzheimers. Autistic windshield wipers? Check. Drunken-short-attention-span-toddler lane assist steering? Check. Manual opening lift gate (no power)? Check. The list goes on, and on, and on. It's a beta test vehicle, but for the low, low price of MSRP.

It's truly a great vehicle, theoretically, but if reliability is important to you, you should really consider a Range Rover. 🤦‍♂️

I have supplier discounts and am a supplier. I am walking away from those discounts and also turning down all work from FCA or any other subsidiaries. My business will suffer and I don’t care. I have owned 5 FCA vehicles in 15 years, 3 of which were loaded GC’s. If I wouldn’t burn in hell for selling this vehicle to another unlucky soul, I would.

The vehicle, dealership, corporate, and all others in between have failed me in a spectacular fashion. Zero returned calls, zero repairs, zero solutions. The only repair ever successfully completed was recall notices.

If Jeep ever comes out from under the rock they are hiding under and has an event, you better believe I would drive anywhere in the USA to meet with them and give them a piece of my mind. The sad reality is my Jeep GCL either wouldn’t start or would break down on the way.

Over 200K GC’s sold in 2021, not sure of the number of L’s to regular GC’s. This is the beginning. My dealer has Grand Wagoneer’s that had to be drug off of the semi trailer due to not starting. Now that is how you treat a $105K 0 mile vehicle!

We have a new one with around 5000 miles on it. Nothing but problems. About to go into shop for 3rd time. Our first time to buy a new car and it has been nothing but problems. I’ll never buy jeep again!!

Is there a consensus on whether the models with these various problems were built before Dec? Owners of those are definitely owed full remediation, but it seems that there may have been a learning curve in the initial months of assembly. Not that it's any consolation, and early adopters are owed every capability they paid for, (and maybe some extended warranty or other perk for their troubles), but is there a similar pattern of problems with builds from December and later?

My vehicle was driven off the lot in late august so I guessing a build date of July something. Your idea makes sense and is the right thing to do. It is laughable that Jeep would do anything besides deny my lawsuits and claim it’s my fault. They made the sale and that’s all they care about.

Remember the chip shortage and the flood in June? Hmmm…

Ordered on 12/21/21 or delivered on 12/21, and built in Nov-Dec? If built in 2022, that suggests the process wasn't improved after Dec, as some without problems have suggested.

Honestly,

Just get an attorney and sue em. @JeepCares is a freaking joke and so is Jeep. The incompetence of the entire brand is literally mind-blowing and I'm positive they are just playing a numbers game. Get as much shitty product to market as possible to make money and deal with the lawsuits later. Their strategy is probably that not that many people will pursue legal activity. This product is so poorly produced and RAW its unreal - I'd be ashamed if I worked there.

My attorney said that out of every 20 cases he has right now 10 are from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge. With an even high percentage being these piece of shit Jeeps. Here's my post where I outlined where I was at and my next steps.

Cliff notes - take em to court. Most lemon laws require the manufacturer to pay legal costs.

My SR V8 was built in November and I have about 2K miles. No issues so far. Sorry to all the people that have issues. Hopefully, I don't have any major issues.

I’m so glad you mentioned the random E- brake issue! I thought I was losing my mind yesterday! BTW - this didn’t start happening until AFTER I had the updates …

MY only saving grace is my local dealer. I've purchased multiple vehicles from them so they are at least helpful with loaners etc.

Just got the call it's ready. Wish me luck !

I’ve had my L since August. I placed an order for a Hyundai Palisade on Saturday. I’m done with the GCL. One thing after another. I’m with you. It was released before it was ready.
