Little “Quirks”?

Curious if anyone has had any issues or just weird things with their new GCL. I bought an Overland with the McIntosh 19 speaker option. I noticed upon startup there is this very loud noise that sounds like excessive bass. It lasts for 10 seconds and there is no audio playing. I also had the panic alarm go off randomly twice last night while I was standing near it, with my key fob and the doors locked. I was not pressing any buttons.

I think the engine sounds “off” and seems to rumble/shake the engine bay until it warms up.
I think this only happens on the first startup of the day, since it’s not cold out.
anyone else?

I lost power steering for about 10 mins. Popped the hood checked fluid, it was full closed the hood and it was back to normal. Has light come on for that period. Will be going to the dealer for a check.

Sometimes I get an almost skip while slowing for a light. Seems to be when 3rd is going to 2nd. Also had one instance where it put itself in park at a light. It’s a summit.

Lol I guess I was checking the brake booster/ Master cylinder then. It's with the dealer now, so hopefully they have a diagnosis for it and a reason why it happened. Now fingers crossed that there are parts of needed.

Sometimes if the ESS battery gets low or is bad it can cause all kinds of faults. Our other vehicle is a Gladiator. On that forum all kinds of issues with bad ESS batteries causing faults. This is on new Gladiators too. Almost like a bad batch. The ESS battery on the Gladiator is below the TIPM (fuse box). Not sure where on the GCL yet. Once that battery gets replaced most are cured. May not be the cause here but do keep us posted.

Dealer has been unable to replicate the error. No code was stored, and given the Jeeps are really just a few weeks out in the market, not much has been issued information wise from FCA. So my dealer has provided the issue with FCA to document. No remedy or bulletins are found for this so they are doing a system reset and drive it a bit to see if it does it again. Should have it back tonight or tomorrow.

Picked up my WL Limited yesterday. Was obviously super excited but have since encountered many of the issues that have been mentioned here and on FB.
  • My car put itself in to Park while I was driving at a relatively low speed. I was traveling along a busy retail corridor and am lucky I didn't get rear ended.
    • My sales guy suggested I disable the Pedestrian Emergency Braking and Front Collision assist automatic braking while a potential solution is worked out by Jeep. Seems like either could be the culprit, so fingers crossed in the meantime.
  • Service 4WD light came on last night as I was idling in my driveway. Turned the car on and off several times and it stayed on but was off this morning.
  • There was a small impact "star" on the windshield, likely caused while in transit. No one at the dealership noticed it and now a 6-inch (and growing) crack has started spreading.
    • Just bad luck, obviously, and my dealer is ordering a new windshield from Jeep that should be here in a "few weeks." Meanwhile the crack has grown a few inches since this morning.
  • Many of the UConnect issues that have been noted here and on Facebook are happening to me as well.
Lastly it seems like I'm feeling an awful lot of vibration in the accelerator and brake pedals. When the engine really gets going, the amount that I'm feeling in my foot just seems excessive. This could just be an adjustment from my Tahoe that I'm just not used to yet. Does anyone here have any thoughts on their experience with this? Is it just a "Jeep thing?" Had a '99 Cherokee and '06 GC so it's been awhile.

Final update, Jeep dealer was provided an unknown update to clear out a "gltch" in the internal systems. They believe that may have been the culprit. Going to pick it up now.
