Oh, that's frustrating. Fingers 🤞 your additional equipment gets installed soon

11/15 Jeep Chat said "Your vehicle is in scheduling with parts being gathered. No Dealer ETA yet"
11/20 Jeep Chat said "All of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly. No Dealer ETA yet."
11/30 Jeep Chat said same thing as 11/20
12/1 Update: Jeep Chat said "I can see all the required materials for your vehicle have been gathered and the plant has sequenced your order for production, it should be entering the build anytime now!"
12/2 Update: Dealership emailed today and said "the estimated ship date is 12/07/21"
12/6 @ 7:00 AM - Jeep Chat says "Vehicle is currently in the frame stage of the build process."
I ordered a 22 GCL SR V6 as part of a buyback on 10/14. Have been promised by Stellantis and continue to be promised priority status since it’s for a lemon law buyback. I just checked this morning and I got another canned response that it’s still waiting parts. Priority my butt!!! I absolutely hate being lied to and jerked around.

I feel for ya. Nothing worse especially when there's nothing you can really do about it 😪 I hope you get a great surprise of a GCL for Christmas 🎄

Priority doesn't really help during Scheduling (C status), which you are in. Once you get a VIN and hit D is where priority helps. You'll get bumped to the top of the line and moved into production. You'll also have your vehicle bumped up when it's built and awaiting transport so you'll get loaded up and shipped out faster. Once it's shipped it's out of Jeeps hands though, so at that point you just have to be patient as Jeep can't control the trains and trailering companies.

I have been in D status with a VIN since 10/15

Ouch! I should specify that you probably need to be in D1, not D. I will be interested in seeing your build sheet once it's finally done to see what your special build category is. I would speculate there might be more than one priority but I can't know for sure.

That is wrong then.
You need to escalate this.
You should have been many weeks ago in D1 and the vehicle built since you were one of the first ones that was assigned a VIN for 2022

My 22 GCL Summit build is completed and is currently in storage awaiting space on the carrier as of 12/4. 8 weeks to the day from the order. Hoping I can get it in 2 weeks. Possible?

My build sheet is available, but no sticker yet. For those of you wondering, the build sheet says I have the eSLD and QL. But guess I need to confirm on the window sticker when it's available
Thats great news, but don't get too excited yet.
I'm on the same boat, my 2022 has been built but shipped to Storage. That's why we can't see the window sticker, until its invoiced to the dealer and shipped.
Don't be surprised the 2022's that are coming out since they started building last week, get delayed in storage until they ship everyone of the 2021's that are still pending.
If your build sheet has the eLSD, then most likely you will get it.

the Mack plant can build 65 GCLs an hour.. that's not the issue, I am sure all 21s are done and 22s are stacking up.... not sure what the hold up is on either 21s or 22s. I am heading to the dealer tomorrow to see if they can make any sense of this..

65 per hour is obviously the capacity, it doesnt mean they have enough parts and labor to reach and maintain this level consistently.
There are people still waiting on their 21s and there’s inventory around. If they release the 22s right away (hope they do) they devaluate immediately the 21s on the lot.
They wont be able to keep the 2022 in storage for too long but I believe they will wait as long as they can to ship them.

It’s no secret that the 22s are being built and pending release very soon. Wouldn’t that knowledge already devalue the 21s on the lot considerably?
I certainly wouldn’t buy a 21 off the lot at anywhere near full price right now.

Hence the likely reason they are building and putting into storage. They cant do this for too long, but they can also build all open special orders ahead and then build dealer stock giving them time to get off more 2021s off the lot

That's interesting. I've been in D since 10/24, which was two days after I ordered it (also a V6 SR). What's the best way to escalate, Jeep directly customer service, JeepCares, or via the dealership?

Btw, when I say that I dont think it will be too long before they start shipping the 2022s, I mean it will be days not weeks.
At the rate they are producing and selling now they cant keep them in storage for too long and run the risk of interrupting too much the supply, there will always be many dealers that get stranded with units from one year to the next.
