Jeep Grand Cherokee L order status updates….

That's interesting. I've been in D since 10/24, which was two days after I ordered it (also a V6 SR). What's the best way to escalate, Jeep directly customer service, JeepCares, or via the dealership?
Sorry, I don't know what's the best way. I would start with Jeep directly.

Thats great news, but don't get too excited yet.
I'm on the same boat, my 2022 has been built but shipped to Storage. That's why we can't see the window sticker, until its invoiced to the dealer and shipped.
Don't be surprised the 2022's that are coming out since they started building last week, get delayed in storage until they ship everyone of the 2021's that are still pending.
If your build sheet has the eLSD, then most likely you will get it.
Chat just told me that the vehicle has shipped and is in transit to the ordering dealership, but still pending a delivery ETA, which they said generates closer to delivery time. They also mentioned that orders are typically in the shipping stage for around 2 weeks until delivered on average. Mine was in storage for 3-4 days before this update, just FYI. Still no sticker. I'll keep checking

Thats great!
You wont see the sticker for 1-2 days after it actually ships.
I’m in the same status, mine was built on Friday and as of yesterday was still in storage.
I’m actually encouraged to see a ton of 2022 L showing up on Inventory search as “being built”.

I want the 22s to ship asap too... My dealer pulled a fast one on me ( my own fault), when I ordered my 21 in oct was told no 22s could be ordered and probably spring delivery. So I opted for the 21 with a Nov/Dec delivery date here we are 22s ready to ship and my 21 stuck in accessories for 3 weeks so if 22s hit I am demanding some incentives LOL

I’m also close to graduating this thread. Ordered a V8 Summit on 8/17 and am picking it up tomorrow, 12/8. I was also told by my dealer that ordering a 22 would push me out to the spring. A bit frustrated that 22s will be delivered within days of my 21.

My build has everything but the eLSD. The price increased but no credit for the eLSD delete. We’ll see what, if anything, the dealer is willing to do.

In your case, Aug 17th was so long ago that I don't blame your dealer for telling you something like spring 2022. It was too early to know when allocation was going to open and what time it was going to take for production.

Even if you say its your fault, your dealer made it worst because 2022 ordering opened early October. They had to know that, probably didnt want you to order 22 because they thought they could get the sale faster with 2021.
Check the Inventory Search, there's a lot of 2022 L that are being Built and will start shipping soon to the dealers.

I ordered my SR V6 on 10/15 as well. Mine isn’t moving.
My repurchase coordinator continues to assure me of my priority status. Jeep Chat keeps giving me canned responses that they are waiting for parts. I finally tried to contact @JeepCares and they are ignoring me.
I’ve been a Grand Cherokee fanboy for many years. This whole experience is making me think maybe Jeep isn’t as great as I have always thought.

Don't let it sour you. You have to remember they have been building these for less than a year and just transitioned (apparently a soft transition) to 2022s. They have had chip shortages that have caused several trims to be reworked which means more issues with builds. I put my order in on 11/24 and I'm still in C and annoyed as hell but I have to keep reminding myself that this isn't the Wrangler or Gladiator that are highly efficient and going on 3 and 4 years of builds and success.

Build/Shipping is always a headache when the plant transitions over from one MY to MY. Keep your head up and be glad that your SR is coming with the Tow package and Quadra Air (and possibly the eLSD!). Also, lots of issues related to software have been posted and I would imagine waiting for yours to build means more mature flashes and firmware on your ride than someone else that was built months ago.

I'm hearing from a few different people who ordered V6 that there's haven't started the build process yet but have all the parts. I wonder if they're pumping out V8s first?

I agree with your comment completely. And I am certainly glad to wait a bit longer if that means a more quality product. However, I don’t like being ignored and being misled. I feel like that is what is happening now. All Jeep will tell me is very vague “we’re working on it” comments. I have yet to received any meaningful status updates.

Jeep Chat is useless beyond giving you the lingo that corresponds to the build status (listed below for ya). Dealerships are hit or miss based off how much they care and how busy they are. Dealerships have been slammed with taking delivery of remaining MY 21 Wranglers that were getting pumped out before the transition to MY 22 this week. Regional reps can help but getting to them means going through your dealer first and raising hell. Your repurchase coordinator is probably not lying about it. For whatever reason you are still in C status. I haven't had much luck in being pushed out of C myself and I have a hook up that pushes my builds up. They are just maxed out at what they can do and how many they can get through. My guess is you are being trumped by others that have yelled louder and/or longer or have a better connection to help push.

None of this helps though, I can emphasize with how freaking annoyed you must be. You get a shitty car and you agreed that you like it enough to give it a second go. You just want your damn vehicle. You for sure have a right to be ticked off. I would keep yelling and I would mention to your coordinator that you are seeing vehicles built that had orders placed in 2-3 weeks AFTER you order. Tell the coordinator you want their manager to chime in and find someone that can move your vehicle forward like they promised because regular orders seem to be going through like yours isn't even there.

After looking around the 2022 inventory that is being built, what I have noticed is that only V8 models for Summit Reserve are being built right now. Everything else appears to be Overlands, Limiteds, and Altitudes. When I looked last night in a 250 mile radius of me, there were zero Summits being built -- but just now two showed up (V6 as well). It's probably going to be built very soon. For what it's worth, it makes sense to me that they are doing the 22 V8 models first given the fact that they are just now building/shipping 21 SR V8 models as well, and this may improve efficiency if they have to retool to handle the V6s.

This seems to be a decent way to get a pulse on what is happening with the 2022 models. (I am waiting on a 22 SR myself)

You could be onto something. But I do know from experience with the wrangler/gladiator that generally power plant (as well as trim and color contrary to some beliefs) has no determination on what is built and when. For what it's worth your observation is a good one. I have a Summit with V6 and I'm still in C. BUT that search on the Jeep website is also contingent on the dealer entering them into the tool (from what my dealer told me, and dealers are often wrong!).

That's not accurate.
2022 Production did start on 12/1
I even have my build sheet available for a V6.
Tons of units have started to show up on the Inventory Search as Being Built, majority is V6.
There's not enough demand for V8 units for them to only work on V8 on any given day.
