Jeep Grand Cherokee L order status updates….

At least you are getting a response from your dealer. I am trying to be the good customer and not keep asking for an ETA but will do so in the next day or two. I have an airline reservation I have to worry about.
My dealer has been great and timely with responses to any questions I have, they are frustrated with the continuous delays as well. Sorry to hear about everyone's headaches, seems to be a very common issue.

22 GCL Overland V8 ... Baltic Grey, Lux Tech and Adv Protech packages, and 2nd Row bench.

1/26/22 - Ordered
1/31/22 - VIN received
3/10/22 - D1
4/11/22 - Paint (F status?)

Never got a dealer ETA at any phase but my hope/estimate was 14 weeks from when I ordered, which would be 5/4...only 3 weeks from now. Probably going to miss that mark but still have 6 weeks to get it in time for Memorial Day Weekend on the beach 🤞

Have you looked at your window sticker as well?
Just received the sticker this morning... quoted on order 70K... build sheet 76K interesting

Dealer is holding 70K pricing per agreement in Dec ... now how long is the wait for shipping

Just curious, on my build sheet for a 2022 summit reserve 2 row, in the first column under standard equipment our sheets are identical with one exception, mine list Anti-Lock 4 wheel disc brakes, yours does not, my question is, do the L'S not have them or is the build sheet wrong?

Of course you have four wheel antilock disc brakes standard. There's only one possibility, unless they're building them without brakes. lol.

why would one window sticker call it out and not the other, exactly identical line for line except that one item?

Is it the build sheet or the window sticker? they are different. According to my 22 Summit GCL build sheet it states: Anti-Lock 4-Wheel FNC Disc Brakes
Talking about the window sticker only, just wondering why the L does not list them but a 2 row window sticker does, seems that they would both list them as all other lines are exactly the same under standard equip.

You are correct and I did some research on this... LOL I found that the window sticker lists 26 items for the functional/safety features for both vehicles. On the 2 row they went with the 4 wheel anti lock brakes, while on the 3 row they went with the hill descent control. No telling why jeeps does what it does... LOL

Just thought I would share this article.... Disc brakes have more braking force and therefore are regarded as safer. Today, drum brakes are still found on many new cars, usually economy models and almost exclusively on the rear wheels. Equipped with disc brakes, front wheels do most of the hard work in day-to-day braking.

The front brakes do most of the braking in any car. That's why rear discs are much smaller, and some cars still use rear drums.

I don't know the last time a Grand Cherokee had drums in the rear, but it was probably in the '90's.

Order placed in November, still not at dealership.

I talked to my rep and he said it’s out of final inspection but as of this morning “is at the body vendor”

Does anyone here have insight into what the reaminjng phases are? Or if the next phase is shipment to dealer?

I’m at a complete loss and have no visibility.

FYI - I’ve taken this build over from someone who backed out.

Mine was

Mine was at the body vendor for 4 weeks, then went to KZS status which was storage until transportation was arranged, from 3-5- 22 until 4-10-22 then I was given an ETA to dealer of 4-21-22 to 5-2-22, hope this gives some inside, call jeep cares, frequently, they will have better info than jeep chat in my opinion.

I've read that they've stopped taking orders now as they're going to open the ordering for 2023 models shortly. That seems EXTREMELY early for that (April). Does anyone have any information on that?

If so, and perhaps either way, I'd cancel your 2021 order that's SIX months old unless there's a dramatic price advantage.
