Jeep Grand Cherokee L order status updates….

At this rate I feel like mine is never going to be built. 😅

Overland L ordered 2/10/2022
VIN received 2/11/2022

5.7L
Baltic Gray
Advanced Protech
Luxury Tech

Jeep chat and my dealership show me in D status still. I'm guessing it's the Hemi holding things up.

Same boat, same selections.... Ordered on 1/27 and still in D.

We'll probably be neck and neck coming down the line.

This is terrible. I don't think I would care so much if I didn't have a trade that is probably tanking in value. I wish there was more transparency in this process.

Quick update for me:

Ordered: 12/15
D1: 1/7
Built: 2/9
Delivered: 3/1

One snag though... the factory forgot to install the running boards. It's on the window sticker, build sheet, order, everything except the vehicle. I really don't understand how this got through quality control without a highly visible part, so hopefully that is the only issue.
I think you got lucky tbh. I am stuck in JB (body vendor) status for more than a month at this point and I think the black running boards I added in my build is causing the delay. Wish I had the option to confirm and that remove it from order.

I was in the same boat, luckily my father in law wanted to buy my existing '19 GC, so I didn't have to worry about the trade in value.

I'm seriously considering switching to V6. I was on the fence if I needed the Hemi and just WANTED it. But not a deal breaker if I get every other option I wanted. If I do another V6 test drive tomorrow and the V6 feel good, I'm all for contacting my dealer about changing my order. If it saves time, great. If they say it'll push me to back of the line and take longer, then may just stick with the Hemi.

And this is only getting serious consideration with gas prices going up up up up.....

I have the 3.6 in my current WK2. It's powerful enough for this smaller vehicle. I drove the 3.6 and 5.7 WL75 about a dozen times before deciding on the 5.7. Considering its an almost $4,000 option it was a big decision seeing as I'm fine with the 3.6 in my current vehicle. I don't think the 3.6 feels as good in the WL75. I'll be sticking with the Hemi. At this point it is what it is. I'm not obligated to buy the vehicle. If it gets here and the market has flipped on my trade or whatever happens in general, I will gladly walk away. I still have a year or so left on the lease that I'm in, so it's no skin off my back to just wait. 😁

So the typical canned response about parts being gathered has stopped and now the responses today were that its entering build process soon (even though the first jeep chat agent today (Rebecca) told me that their system had updated and they no longer have access to this info 🤦‍♂️). The next two agents I tried both gave me a variation of the same data that it's entering build process shortly.

Sooooooo does that finally mean D1 status??

As guessed, dealer just called to say that it's now in D1 and they believe it will still arrive within 90 days of my order, so that'd be by 4/27. We shall see.

I definitely prefer the Hemi and it was just a thought. I wasn't blown away by the V6 and while I'd be happy with it, the torque in the V8 and sluggish feeling in the V6 sold me.

Add that to the dealer telling me that if I wanted to change to the V6, they'd still receive the original order and have to create a new order for me, pushing me back to step one anyway and making the last 7 weeks a wait for nothing. No thank you, I'll patiently await my gas guzzling 5.7L thank you very much.

I chatted with them earlier. They also told me the system has changed and that basically they can't see anything. They said my status is scheduling, and I asked them if that is the same thing as still gathering parts. They confirmed it is indeed the same thing which is still D status for me. Maybe a few more days.

Congrats on moving to D1. Hopefully you suffer no further delays. 🎉

I have been in the same gathering status for a while now also.. Did you receive and email from customer care stating what the ETA of delivery to your dealership was? I have and it shows an ETA of the week of 4/14. They never told me what D state(?) I was/am in.

I didn't receive email yet but not everyone got that email. Mostly sounded like people who never got an email in the first place and then their vehicle was already thru the build process. I only know that dealer shows D1 status that must have updated since yesterday afternoon. Maybe delivery date and build sheet are coming soon.

Hey guys,
Ordered my 22 Limited L with the Black out package, lux tech 2, tow prep, 10.1 and panoramic roof on 1/8. Jeep arrived at dealer 2/24 and finally got to see it in person. Picking up this afternoon once it's been prepped and paperwork is completed.

We ordered a very similar one on 2/15. Hoping for a similar timeline. Ordered same as you except no tow prep. That’s the first 22 L with the black appearance package I’d seen so I’m loving those photos. Looks amazing!

Yeah, I am kind of worried as I haven't gotten a build sheet yet. I am hoping they stick to the ETA though. Good luck on getting yours very soon. Waiting is the hardest part.

For anyone wondering about eLSD deletes.... ordered an SR V6 yesterday and eLSD delete for the $400 credit was automatically added - dealership could do nothing about it.

And, just found out build sheet and window sticker are ready. Estimated delivery window is 3/17-3/28. Getting very excited now.
