The worst waiting game, is waiting on your SR while its on a train ride... Hoping its on the lower range of the 1/31-2/08 they estimated
Mine was unloaded off the train last weekend. It is sitting in the rail yard about 15 or 20 minutes from my house waiting to be delivered to my dealer.

The main reason we didnt go for the SR and chose Overland was the interior.
We prefer the Steel Gray interior Napa leather from Overland.
Summit has the steel gray but adds quilted stitching, we didnt like the looks.
The SR is only black or Tupelo and we don't like either color. No small kids so having the light gray interior is no issue.
I also dont think the additional $4K for SR is really worth it, the value you get is mostly subjective compared to a fully loaded Overland, except a few features like the ventilated second row and passenger screen now in 2022

100% agree. Interior and wheel design is exactly why I went with Overland over Summit

Picked up my Overland today! Ordered Dec 21 and it’s in my garage in 5 weeks. I was pretty shocked at how quick they turned it around!

Wow! That is amazing. I ordered my 22 SR as part of a buyback to replace a 21 Overland on 10/15. I have been assured all along that my build was being processed as a priority.
And I’m still waiting. It’s close and I should have it early next week but I’m still waiting.
Reading all the horror stories mixed with the success stories, it’s obvious Stellantis has no coherent plan of operation. Their whole schedule is obviously a random mishmash.

I would bet your dealer had one on order already and was able to make last second changes to make your build. You’re very lucky indeed. I ordered my V6 SR on 11/22 and it will be delivered next week to my dealer. About 10-11 weeks total time from order to delivery.

Not likely
Dealers want as much inventory as they can get, why change any order already in place and lose the chance to get one more.
Sometimes is just luck, the plant would like to build several combinations of trims every day but its very inefficient, thats why you have sometimes a case like this, they group the same trim/engine/packages and people that ordered recently get theirs along with others that ordered weeks ago.

My own experience, ordered 11/4 when ‘22s were not yet in production and took delivery just about 7 weeks after.

Yeah, plant efficiency is the biggest driver of when your build gets done. The sales manager who does all the allotment ordering told me that they will do regional builds at the plant. He said that north of the Mason-Dixon Line (who uses that term anymore??) that most of the interiors are black with lighter interiors going south. I am getting a light interior…so, who knows what that means up north. I thought it was interesting. They must group trims/colors in certain days.

No they didn’t have it in order. I have Stellantis EP program so I HAD to buy a new customer order to get my EP discount. I literally sat at my salesman’s desk while we selected options and built my L in the system and submitted. I guess I’m just lucky that they had the parts for my options.

12/21 Order Submitted
12/22 VIN received
1/10 Build update (completion anticipated 1/20)
1/19 Build Completion Update
1/20 Window Sticker Available and Shipping
1/27 Arrival to Dealer for PDI
1/28 Purchase Completed

Anyone hear anything regarding availability of the new colors listed as 'late availability' on the configurator? I'm particularly wondering about 'Midnight Sky'.

The color blue has literally been part of the global supply chain issues, unfortunately.

Are you near Detroit or something? It seems to be taking 2-4 weeks to deliver to a dealer after it's built. Mine was built 01/14 and I assume its still sitting in a parking lot near Philly waiting for a truck.

My V6 SR was completed and waiting shipping on 01/05. It finally shipped on 01/13 and was unloaded at the rail yard about 15 or 20 minutes from my house (and about the same distance to the dealer) on 01/23. I’m still waiting for it to be delivered the last 10 miles to the dealer. Hoping it gets there tomorrow or the next. As you said 4 weeks in shipping.

Mine was delivered to the dealership last Wednesday, but still waiting for their processing team to do PDI and give me a call. I’m sure you’ll be hearing about yours soon since we’re in the same-ish area.

Really? I'd be at the dealer pounding on the glass... What is there for them to do other than take the plastic wrap off the seats? I guess I'll have to call the dealer today to see what the status is...

PDI's can be done within a day. I have had my vehicles arrive and the same day I pick them up. I'd be making a call to speed up the process

Honestly, we’re in no rush since our dealer is out state. It actually gave us the time to prepare for travel. They supposedly got in 100+ vehicles this week and they were processing each of them in order.

They did email this morning confirming that they are wrapping up PDI, so we will plan to pick it up over the weekend.

Nope. I’m in Wichita Kansas. They railed it to Kansas City and then trucked it down here. I’m still amazed at how fast it moved myself. I was prepared to wait until end of Feb 🤷‍♂️

That's good news !! I didn't realize that they had so many vehicles to PDI !! My dealership maybe gets a dozen or so at a time.
