yep..again communication would have helped here, I would have accepted it with out them and dealer could install when available. crazy
Yes, this is something they could flag in the ordering system when the dealer is quoting your vehicle. Some note about this or any other accessory being added by a third party vendor.
They won't do it however because many would opt to add this at the dealer.
It also explains why the steps costs almost $1K, its both Jeep and a third party vendor making money on these.

The JB status always takes longer. On my 1st Gladiator JB was for the bed liner and hard tonneau cover and it took 5-6 days to do. My guess is they don't presently have the steps and they are waiting on them. That sucks man sorry to hear that. There is no way to know what is/isn't available because it JIT. And generally shipments come in regularly but now they are so hit or miss the issue could be unexpected and downstream and Jeep would have no idea.

Not sure about about the side steps holding it up as mine was ordered with side steps and is built and ready to be shipped.

From the recent messages I think @Babolat and @runningforyou are in a similar status like mine.
Our 2022 L's have been built and invoiced (window sticker)
My dealer told me on Friday that the status was KZ (released by plant and invoiced), reached out Jeep Chat on saturday and they said no ETA available for delivery to dealer.
Are you both in the same status? There's plenty of 2022 L on the inventory search already in transit to dealers.

Oh boy, JS is shipped to storage. I sure freaking hope that’s not what the rest of us with newly changed eta dates for shipping (1/7/22) are going to see happen. Check with your dealer and ask them to tell you the eta for shipment. If they say 1/7 then I think we are all fudged until Jan. Report back what the dealer says.
Last week I checked the ETA with the dealer and they said 12/06, well we know that didn’t happen. My order date was 10/06. Mine is a replacement under the lemon law and you know what, I didn’t even ask for a replacement, they offered it to me. They have been the nicest people to deal with. I know it’s hard to believe, but that’s the truth. Mine has running boards also.

Maybe our 21 SR’s are together traveling Eastbound. Mine was ordered 8/10 and built date is 12/2 on the window sticker. One can only hope. I am in Massachusetts.
