Jeep Grand Cherokee L order status updates….

I got a call from my dealer today that my order would arrive sometime between 9/28 and 10/11. I placed my order on August 24th. Black Summit Reserve with a V8, brown interior. The build sheet still shows Quadralift, but no eLSD. The eLSD was already removed at the time I ordered the car. So, no surprise there... Waiting on the sticker which the dealer says they have not received yet. The car went to D status and then no updates after that until today when the dealer called and then Jeep Chat confirmed that the same info the dealer gave me. Dealer is a little nervous about the QuadraLift issue as am I. The dealer is VERY surprised that the car moved to shipped status.
WOW! That is quick turnaround! I ordered mine May 24th and it is still stuck in paint. There are others on here that ordered them even earlier than I did and they are still waiting. Consider yourself lucky!

I think it's probably because of options and color choices. For example I ordered V8 SR Baltic Grey dual tone with bench seats. Seems like that's the reason mine is still in D.

I agree, ordered on 8/9 V8 SR White two tone and it keeps going between D and D1. Others with only difference being black paint are driving theirs while I’m not sure I’ll see it this year. Does that mean they are out of white and grey paint as we know they have the black lol.

Well I will believe it when I get to the dealership and it's actually on site and correct. I need to find a pet barrier for it as well. So far I have not found anything options. Might just have to roll the dice on some sort of universal one.

I wish the ones they are shipping out after November atleast will be 2022s..At the current pace I'll be ending up with a 2021 in 2022.
It seems like the hold up is parts and manufacturing. Not shipping. From my understanding, if it rolls out of the factory on 01/01/2022, it legally has to be a 2022. They would need to have all their VIN number and such switched over before they would roll out the door so I suspect at the latest mid-December would have to be a 2022. But I guess if they are already out the factory door and just need final parts (a chip or two) then probably can still be a 2021 that technically didn’t leave until 2022 since it was no longer in the factory. I heard some manufacturers were going to start shipping vehicles to dealers and have them hold them until final parts come in for them to install. There is a lot of empty space on lots!

Sounds hopeful for me. Ordered an all black SR V8 and no bench seat. I don’t want the kids fighting over who gets to sit in the middle. Haha. I only ordered Aug 2nd and dealer said he would let me know when it leaves D status. I called once Sept 6th cause his earlier shipments were taking about a month but were all V6. So far on here the V8 is adding to the delays.

It must be. I ordered Silver/Black Summit reserve V8. I was told today that it is finally out paint. It was in paint for about a month. It will be interesting how long it takes now!

Everyone got me hopeful but there has been no movement for 2 months on mine I get, "Thank you so much for holding. I am showing all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly. Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided."

I was stuck in that holding pattern and didnt have confidence, am told mine will be at the dealer by end of the week. If true would be ~8 weeks from order to arrival for a V8 SR black

That would be phenomenal for you, I’m hoping it starts to become the new normal going forward.

Wish I could change to the black as Friday is 12 weeks and it’s not even ready to be built yet. Can’t believe the two-tone paint is the hard part but I see very few at dealer listings

At the dealership picking up my Black Summit Reserve V8. Has quadralift for those who are worried. So, the chip shortage didn't hit me too bad in the end. Shocked that it arrived so quickly.

Happy for you! I'm 8 weeks in and still no updates from the dealer. Jeep chat tells me it's in assembly with no time frame. I don't even have a build sheet to look at.

What build do you have? I’m six weeks in with a V8 summit and stuck in D.

I chatted with Jeep on Tuesday and they said the factory is closed this week. Any one know if that is right?

What color paint do you have? If it’s black you should get yours in 2-4 weeks. If it’s two-tone there doesn’t seem to be any date at all. I’m SR V8 White/Black and mine has not started assembly in 12 weeks.

I’m two tone, SR, 5.7 and according to Jeep and my dealer the Jeep has entered production as of Tuesday, I only ordered it a week ago so if that’s true (big if) I’m hoping to be in the 2-4 timeline, hell, I’m happy if it’s even close to that….I’ve ordered a bunch of Jeeps prior to this, so I’m familiar with their system and how long it generally takes, I’m not optimistic.
