Jeep Grand Cherokee L order status updates….

I ordered a MY21 SR V8 back on 8/2. After a month of no communication from my dealer I emailed today asking for the VON. He replied letting me know they just ordered it because they HAD to wait for the ability to order MY22. Not sure what that means for a timeline but guessing I’ll be lucky to get an update before December. I just hope it has everything I initially was expecting.
Your dealer is full of it.

I ordered my 2021 GCL with the v8 on 8/6 and I'm still in D status. They did tell us 8-10 weeks but was hopeful it would be sooner than that. The no updates part is frustrating. For those of you who did get theirs- how long after you changed from D status to delivery?
Ordered mine May 24th. Finally in "F" status. Stayed in D status until about 2 weeks ago...

Anyone have experience with late model orders? I wonder what will happen to ‘21 orders that haven’t been scheduled (parts allocated)…e.g. will they still be built as ‘21 models or will they be automatically converted to ‘22 orders after 3 September?View attachment 525
So it looks like this was delayed as well? Still can't order a 22 yet.

You ordered about a week before me.. I’m still in D status but I’m starting to question my dealerships commitment to this sale as I keep getting different stories regarding any question I make to them.

My dealer just told me this AM my vehicle is slated to enter production on 9/20. We shall see...
Ordered July 9th GC SR V8.

Ordered my SR V8 July 27th. Just got told they have all the parts and will start production "soon". No eta, no build details. Will be a 2021 though.

How are all of you getting into production. I’ve ordered May 8th summit reserve with two tone roof. V8. Deposit paid. Still In D. I’m ready to cancel.

What color did you order? I'm curious if they are cycling through colors with different builds.

Keep in mind, my dealer told me it is "slated to enter production" and Jeep has fed me a LOT of BS over the last 2 months, so this update is questionable at best. I was told "all parts are here" for the last 6 weeks.

This experience has been a test of patience!!! I ordered my Summit (not reserve) V-8 on May 3rd. "Supposed" to be manufactured 9.20.2021. My dealer tells me that since I ordered it in May, it WILL have the quadra lift. The first part of August I got a D1 status for a few days, then it went back to D. Now I have D1 again, and 9/20 as my date. Curious how some that ordered V-8's in late May and June are gettting them! I dont understand.

Interesting, I called my dealer and he said he can't order a 2022 yet. Who knows man, this stuff is crazy.
For what it’s worth every time I reach out to Jeep chat they tell me they are not open to order but then I tell them to look up the number and they say congrats your right. Of course they can’t provide any actual detail or information. Going to try and be patient and hope it shows up in the next 5 months with what I actually requested.

Where are you accessing jeep chat? When I go there it keeps defaulting me to contact my dealer.. who knows absolutely nothing. Also, where is everyone getting their updates? I went to the link posted on this forum and it says invalid (I read bc it is in D status). I'm just hoping for a bit more definite time frames.

As long as it is in D status you will not have a date. Once it moves into D1 status you will get a production date. That date has to come from your dealer. The Jeep chat will only tell you that they are gathering parts and awaiting production when it is in D status.

BS! Then why the credit back and mandatory delete on new orders?? You can see where it say Activ. Active and Adaptive are interchangeable. Semi-active is totally different. If it were a name change they wouldn’t give you money back for it.

So I ordered my GC-L Overland mid July, at that time the feature list printed by the dealer included the phrases "Adaptive Damping" and "Quadra Lift Air Suspension". I received my order 8/19, the build sheet and Window Sticker now say "Semi-Acitve Damping" and "Quadra Lift Air Suspension". The price did not change, there was no credit. So I hope I can believe @JeepCares explanation that Adaptive vs Semi-Active is only semantics, otherwise...

Earlier someone reported that there was no actual change between Semi-Active and Active, just that Jeep decided that "Semi-Active" was a more accurate description of the original system so they changed the name. That makes sense to me, an active suspension would be electronically controlled in realtime and semi-active better describes how Jeep adjusts the stiffness depending periodically depending on driving mode not all the time.
