@JeepCares says is takes up to 2 days to update. I am thinking all of the apps time to update after the operating system does.Yes I just got a notification on the screen. I did not push the update button and just parked and left it. When I came back 15 minutes later it had the new version number under System Information. I currently do not have access to CarPlay, Sirius, off road pages and it’s very slow in responding. I assume it’s still updating? Who knows. There’s no indication of what it’s doing. I’m just going to let it set overnight and see what happens.
Well, first drive after the update, phone didn’t connect wirelessly. Par for the course I supposeI wouldnt count on it fixing it. I had it done last week at the dealer and Im still having the same Carplay issues. Working with the dealer on what the next step is.

@JeepCares I got a warning that Uconnect update failed. Guess I’ll keep my appointment for 10/18 at the dealer. I had it set for WiFi update so maybe the signal was weak. I’ve unchecked it for now to see if it will update via cellular.Hello everyone,
You'd be correct! As of this morning, the FOTA has been released and has begun t0 rollout. As @PRspawn stated, the update will bring your software level to R17.89. Since our teams have shared these helpful tips on various public threads, we wanted to share the same information here so that it's easily available to all of you.
Following Software Update:
Deep Sleep Mode We recommend customers wait about 40 minutes with their vehicle OFF (and with key fobs away from vehicle). This allows the radio to enter a "deep sleep" mode which mitigates the chances of any interruptions during the download process.
- May have to re-pair phones, reset your radio station presets, or delete & re-pair your Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connection.
- Connected services and apps may work intermittently for up to 48 hours following your update completion. This is because it takes longer for the more technologically advanced radios to fully update and sync every part of the radio.
App-Over-The-Air (AOTA) will trigger, which refreshes internal radio apps. Some of these services include your WiFi hotspot, remote demands through the Uconnect App, etc.
HVAC takes at least 2 ignition cycles to re-learn the configuration, so it may be possible to experience HVAC/Climate Control setting concerns as your Uconnect fully reconfigures. Reach out if you need anything!
