Has anyone been given a delivery date for a 4xe?

Great, the one thing you can't do though is order the black appearance package apparently. Frustrating when they show it as available option on the configurator, but can't actually order it.

I believe that’s a new option for 2023, and you can’t order 2023s for a few months yet.

Not a new option for 2023. Released in 2022 for 2022 models. Of course with orders being the way they are, who knows when you would actually get it or if you can get a 2022 model order in with it. But it is available to order on the 2022 GC 4xe Summit and Summit Reserve

116 VIN's
Hey Jake - I went to my dealer to take a look @ a trailhawk V6 they just got in. White with the black top. Took it for a test drive - very nice, and my only surprise was how smooth it rode - my wife & dog concurred. The build date for my 4xe is 8/6/22. No Jake I didn't get the year wrong:). Lou

I just called around, 2 larger dealers said they can order a 2022 4xe. two smaller dealers said they can not. Best estimate they would give me was 4-6 months.
Thoughts on if I should wait until I know it will be marked a 2023?

Any one have any other update on their 4xE orders? Still nothing from my build status. Dealer says they were seeing a ship date for 8/5/22 but nothing still and tracker still says the car wasn’t built.

Okay… but has it actually even been built? And if so, has it actually shipped?

Jake22, I’m starting to get annoyed with your posts of stuff you found on the internet that don’t quite address the issue being discussed because they completely lack any useful context. It’s almost like you go out of your way to look like you’re being helpful without actually being helpful, and in many cases you’re just being completely misleading. If only you would take just a little more effort to communicate more usefully…

The current state of things is that some of the people with the earliest orders have been told over the last couple weeks that their vehicles are in status JS (storage), which means that they have been built but have not yet been released by the factory, for reasons unknown—but likely all for the same reason. Some of these customers have been given estimated ship dates, but those are regularly being missed and kicked down the road, so everybody has pretty much stopped believing them.

People with slightly newer orders, who had previously been told were in D1 status, have stalled out there, or sometimes even reverted to D status, which suggests to me that they’ve stopped producing more until they can solve whatever the issue is with the ones they’ve already built.

Short version: no customer orders have shipped yet, but it could happen really soon… or it could keep getting delayed until who knows when. But hopefully when they do figure it out, the floodgates will open…

That happened to me I think. I went from D1 back to D then back to D1 and now my dealer said I’m back at D makes absolutely no sense.

It's because they're waiting on chips for them that they don't have and don't know when they'll get. They build the vehicle and when they get the chips, figure they'll put the chips in and ship the vehicles. Who knows when the chips will come with the current administration and since they likely come from China. Does anybody really feel comfortable at this point that if you got your vehicle finally and had a problem within the first year with a bad chip that you would be able to get it repaired or get a new chip if necessary???
