Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof

I'm not a fan of sunroofs. Wish they would leave that as an option on all models. I live in a warm climate. I go through two seasons of heavy pollen that coats everything. I want to be able to put a kayak on the roof. How do you feel about them?

This won’t prevent you from putting crossbars on the roof at all. It comes with a shade but may not block 100% of the light. Aftermarket skins exist for the WK’s and I’m sure they’ll be coming out for the WL’s too. In the interim, any body wrap shop should be able to put a 3M auto vinyl cover on the glass for less than $100 if you want it to be totally blacked out.

also… if you don’t mind the color contrast, white or silver vinyl make help keep the inside cooler as well.

Which model are you looking at? The Pano Roof is an option on the limited

Me personally it was a must coming from a Jeep Wrangler and having it currently on my RAM 1500.

Originally went to dealership to order a limited, but couldn't order lux package and had to upgrade to 20" tires with tow package. Looked into Summit trim, but now waiting to see what options will be available for two row 2022 model. Very interested in inline-6 engine.

I'd rather spend the money on something I do like, so I would prefer to be able to order without.
If it saves you some time energy knowing what’s possible… might be helpful to know that in prior years, fleet sales/law enforcement from FCA did not include a sunroof delete option on the Overland/Summit trims either. Still wouldn’t hurt to ask your dealer if custom orders are being accepted. Although, you may end up paying more and waiting twice as long. :(

I feel into the same situation with the Limited, wanted the lux and can't get it. The towing package I wanted and didn't mind going up to the 20" rims. I looked at the overland and still had to add a package to get the intersection collision option and it put the MSRP over what I am looking to pay.

When I asked the question I was trying to find out if a majority loved the pano roof and don't mind spending the extra money or if a majority would rather not have it.

I kinda like mine. The wife & kid seemed to really want it. I’m not worrying so much about leaks as I feel the quality control is there.
It’s still a bit noisy when open. I hope that gets remedied.

I love my pano roof on my ram so it was a must on the GCL. I open it when ever I can and very rarely close the screen over.

No sunroof for me; I would order the Limited if the Hemi was available for that trim. I am waiting for the official specs on the two row 2022 GC Overland, but it will probably have standard sunroof like the three row L Another forum I have been on showed about 35 to 40% of folks preferred not to have sunroof. If someone wants a Jeep vehicle with Hemi engine and solid metal roof, the Wagoneer is the only choice---and no power folding mirrors on the Wagoneer even though it is an inch & a half wider than the Ram trucks.

THE WK2 Summit also came with sunroof as standard. In 7 years I think I've opened it twice and that was just to see if it still worked! Don't want one but not a drama if it's standard, never stopped me fitting kayak cradles or rooftop tent.

I used to feel that way about sunroofs. Everycat I had them in I never even opened the sunshade. Always said I’d never pay extra to get one. I know in reality I did by getting the package that also had the sunroof. My last two Durangos had them. Never used it. But on the GCL I decided I HAD to have the pano. It made the interior feel so much more spacious. I really like it a lot.
