App is useless ?

Just got another message. I called back 20 minutes after receiving it and my “case managers” VM box is full - automatic disconnect, no other options.

It is useless in mine. I wish it would work. All it does is show the location of my Jeep. It shows the fuel level and health of the Jeep. But it very rarely starts it or locks or unlocks it. The app seemed to not work all together for about a month but now the location fuel and health work again but starting and locking or unlocking not so much.

Mines starts and locks fine. Mine doesn’t show the location, fuel or health

I have to Jeep GCLs. The app doesn’t work on either. One doesn’t show any health or mileage. The features don’t work for either Jeep. The location doesn’t work on one of them. I think the app was released too early. Half baked. I had to laugh because I asked the dealer if they have heard of anything about it not working. “No not really. Maybe 1 or 2 people.” I’m sorry but I don’t believe that at all. I think Jeep knows because the trial got extended after they sent a yiu have been reconnected email.

On a side note, not that it matters too much because like I’ve said the app doesn’t work properly, but I tried to add a second jeep GCL to my app and have not found a way to do it. That seems odd to me being there is a “garage” on the app. I enter the vin number of the second GCL. It picture of it appears but when I go to add it the app says to click activate services on the infotainment center in the truck. I do so and it says already activated visit the website. I do and I don’t see a place to add a second vehicle. To me that seems odd because on the mopar website I can add two trucks. My old Durango appeared, I deleted that and added the second jeep but being the GCL uses it’s own jeep app and not uconnect, the mopar site seems useless as well. It seems like a hassle to log out and log in w different credentials to get to the other Jeep. They should have a way to switch between trucks for those of use that have more than one jeep in the household. Now if that can get sorted out if they can only make the app work correctly. One thing at a time I guess. I’m sure they will get it working but probably not before the trial expires. The app is definitely a disappointment Absolutely love the trucks though.

The dealer can lol. Our dealer entered a GCL i test drove into the app first. Then the one we actually bought. Both were in there and both worked.

I called Jeep and was told the dealer could maybe do it but would charge for it. That was after I explained what I wanted to do and also that the app doesn’t work. It does seem to work a bit more in the Overland which doesn’t show the health stuff. I found those features have to do with the vehicle not the app. I used different credentials to put the overland on my iPhone and all the health info I can see w the limited are gone when I log in for the Overland. I also know the problem doesn’t lay w the phone because the app works more often when I’m using it for the Overland than when I try to use it for the limited.

Just curious Sarge: where have you seen the info that some have received defective hardware? That’s the first time I’ve seen that posted.
When the dealer got the new "WL capable" scan tool, they ran the codes and saw "a LOT more codes than before". I opened a case with Jeep [doesn't] Care and my dealer (good dealer) got a STAR tech to finally release a new head unit (screen), which is finally going to be installed next week. So, after two months of defective ownership, they're finally sending me some parts (new headlights, head unit, McImtosh speaker, trunk opening sensor, etc). Given the dozens of problems I have, I'm not expecting a miracle, but maybe XM, Nav, and CarPlay will work.

I've dumped $80k into this thing and feel like I bought 80,000 losing lottery tickets, so far.

So after many missed calls / emails etc i was told … you guessed it! Go to the dealer. At this same time, satellite stopped working and the console screen was intermittent. I did a SXM refresh but nothing changed. Went to dealer - that’s a real hassle for me based on time / distance. All was fixed - EXCEPT - intermittent screen failure has gotten worse and now, randomly, car play goes black and the Jeep Home Screen comes on after a few seconds. …. I just wonder how this thing is going to age.

BTW: towed a snowmobile trailer with two sleds, two hours each way to NH. - 9.5 MPG! Can’t blame anyone for that one - I figured that going in!🤣
