Update, as of yesterday afternoon my GCL SR V8 is Shippable again and says "Bay location updated for vehicle shipment". That's sounds like good news.My GCL SR V8 was unloaded from the railcar on 11/26, but today my order status changed. It now says shippable = No. What does that mean? My dealership said they don't know why it says that.
Awesome!!My WL74 was delivered to dealer this morning. Picking it up tomorrow 👍👍👍
Nice Congratulations! What was your exact order date?My WL74 was delivered to dealer this morning. Picking it up tomorrow 👍👍👍
Anyway we can see some pictures of that beauty?Mine was ordered early September. Very impressed. Humongous improvement over previous grand Cherokee summit in every way. Very satisfied with purchase.
We’re in the same boat once again, however you’ve got the advantage. Mine is also awaiting transportation with a dealer ETA of 1/11/22 to 1/23/22.Dealer ETA pushed back to 1/3/21 - 1/11/21 now…
Supply chain/driver shortage issues are such a buzzkill ☹️
Oh well what’re you gonna do 🤷🏻♂️It’ll be worth the wait
Jeep Chat <<< This link, click on "Chat" and then provide them with your VIN # and they can give you updates. Let us know!Is there a site on the internet that I can get regular updates of the build with my provided VIN? I ordered a month ago and just received the VIN from my dealer. I don't have a status other than that.
Yes! Photos! 😄Anyway we can see some pictures of that beauty?

Well I’ll be at 4 weeks by the end of this week so based off of your info I should be getting close! My dealer said mine doesn't even have an ETA. It's in a shipment staged delay status, but he said it's showing "rebay at factory" which he says means it's getting close to shipping.
He said it's been taking 3-4 weeks once shipped before they make it to the dealership. Ours go through Memphis, which even pre-Covid was a black hole for Jeeps, where they would often sit for two or more weeks, before getting a truck for the final 2 hours (incredibly frustrating). His best guess is I'm looking end of Jan or early Feb, but hopefully we will be surprised.
Do you have a signed purchase agreement stating $1000 below MSRP? If you do and he doesn’t honor it contact your lawyer. So my Jeep arrived today—yay!
I had negotiated the price when I ordered the Jeep back in October. It was to be $1000 under MSRP.
Now that the vehicle has arrived, the dealer told me there is a non-negotiable $2299 fee to add a Simoniz coating to the vehicle. That’s not something i would EVER pay for, but they’ve got me in a bad spot now, as I was renting a car until the Jeep arrived.
Any advice? The dealer says they won’t budge, they require this on every new car they sell and they have 5 people that would buy my car if I don’t want it.
That is crazy, that is YOUR choice to have that on the vehicle. That should've been mentioned upfront, sounds like bait & switch. So my Jeep arrived today—yay!

The underbody coat or Simonize ploy is an old ruse dealerships have used for years to jack up their margins. It's mainly used on existing cars. It's hard to get away with on a custom order. They do have an advantage at the moment of being in a seller's market, but that unethical ploy can be reported to the FTC, BBB and/or your State's Regulatory Monitoring Division. That is a pretty brazen bait and switch that shouldn't be allowed if you have a signed purchase agreement. That is crazy, that is YOUR choice to have that on the vehicle.
