From where you got that all knowledge? You seem very experienced with everything lol
I just read a lot. But to be clear, I’m completely speculating in this case. I know they
can produce 4xes at the a Mack facility because that’s where they made the early production units for press previews and the like last year… but I also know that even though they design their production lines to allow for a good amount of flexibility, they still get higher throughput and fewer quality issues when they‘re able to sequence similar—or better yet, identical—things as much as possible.
So if they have enough demand to keep Mack busy on just gas and Jefferson busy just on 4xe, it makes sense to do that. But if Mack would run dry without doing some 4xes, that would be bad. Or, even if they want to do that after Jefferson is ready, they might also decide that at least some of the 4xe orders they’ve been accepting for the last three months really deserve attention even though they’ve never promised actual delivery dates. As somebody in that group, I’m sure hoping that’s what they do, but given the demand they’ve got for
every model, I’m expecting they’ll opt to maximize efficiency, which means I get to wait. And I wouldn’t blame them for that.
