Ordered my Summit Dec 9, 2021 and received the VIN a week later. It's still in 'D' status awaiting parts.
Ordered a Summit Reserve on 11/18. Week 14 starts tomorrow and been in D now for 10 weeks. Had VIN at week 2. At one point it was at all parts available and awaiting sequence to build, then last week it was back to gathering parts. Spoke to dealer yesterday and they are trying to find out what the real holdup and backward movement is about. They have received at Least one that was ordered after mine and delivered it to the customer already. Only difference was color (Black) and Hemi. I went with Red Velvet and V6. Hope yours moves a bit faster Through the process. I have ordered other Jeeps, Wrangler and GC over the past 20 years and this by far has been the slowest of them all.

I just don't understand the build schedule logic. You would think that when the order goes into the computer it would be a matter of sequencing in the order received. I have seen the exact same vehicle order by type and equipment be received many weeks apart. Very very strange system they have. You would think when parts are received they would go to the next vehicle on the list but it's obvious that's not happening. My dealer is also confused. Very frustrating!!

Probably has to do with filling shipping containers going to a particular region as quickly as possible. I imagine the common denominator is region.

I went with a JGC Overland 4x4 V6. Ordered on 1/31. Have my VIN, jeep chat said it's in the parts gathering phase. Reading through this forum that could mean a variety of time frames.

Mine will come by truck. I have been at the dealership to video unloading of a couple of orders. Indy is too close to use a train :)

I’m waiting for the truck to arrive with my GCL SR V6 in Washington,IN. The dealer says it comes by both train and truck. Two hours south of Indy.

That doesn't change the fact that they will prioritize filling orders going to a particular region to keep the trains moving. If their space is half full, they'll pump out the vehicles needed to fill that train before moving to the next train or truck.

Just ordered my grand cherokee (2-row) limited yesterday, 2/3/2022 and got my VIN number today 2/4/2022. Is that a good sign? Meaningful in any way? Sorry first ordered vehicle.

I ordered my 2022 WL SR v8 on 1/17 and just received my vin 2 days ago. Think it depends on dealership/location/build? Not sure - but I was sorta annoyed it took so long.

Maybe maybe not. I ordered my GCL SR V6 and got my VIN the next day. I’m almost at 12 weeks. It should be delivered any day.

I ordered my GC SR V8 on 12/29, and it's following a similar timeline.

Mine was being rebayed in lots around the train yard for a couple weeks (or longer), so not sure if it's how the sequence builds as much as how they organize/stage cars in the lots.

That’s about right. This Monday I’ll be at 11 weeks on my GCL SR V6. It’s due at the dealer Monday or Tuesday. Things seem to be moving faster now so hopefully yours is faster!!

-Ordered on 1.8.22
-Received my VIN# on 1.11.22
-Jeep stated that all materials were on hand and the vehicle was getting sequenced for production on 1.24.22 and this status didn't change through 2.1.22
-Jeep stated that the vehicle has been approved for shipment but not scheduled today 2.2.22
-I received an email today from cryptostickers that there was an update to my order and that my build sheet was available today 2.2.22
I think I’m in a similar boat. Ordered 1.5, and when I talked to jeep today on chat said that it was approved for shipment.
