Actual (negotiated) price for 21/22 GCL Overland models?

Just discovered this forum today and am impressed with all the detailed information in order timing, ‘22 options, etc.

I am in the market for an almost fully loaded GCL Overland model (pretty much everything but the V8) and am wondering what these vehicles have been selling for lately. TrueCar’s data seems all over the place and not very reliable (eg, it tells me contradictory things about local recent sales prices). I am in DC/VA/MD area and could buy a ‘21 from dealer stock or order a ‘22. I see that prices for the ‘22s are going up, but with some benefits like getting QL back.

Anyhow, I am curious for those who have bought recently: what did you pay relative to MSRP and if you ordered what terms did you agree to @ the time you placed the order? Thanks!

Bought an overland back at the end of August.

I don't think you can get these options anymore but we got: V6, tech package, luxury package, McIntosh speakers, tow package, air suspension. Basically everything except off-road and Mopar protection package.

Msrp=$62,495 paid=$59k
About 1% under invoice, no negotiation just walked in and bought it same day.

Exact same specs as SweetandLow and paid $60,500 mid October. I had to search a 500 mile radius to find one with air suspension and the tow package . I refused to accept one with the deletes and credits. Good luck

Thanks for these replies. I received the attached quote (63,425) from a nearby dealership and was a bit surprised at the lack of discount vs MSRP (64,425). Sounds like there is still room to negotiate.

I'm looking for the same. I need the Quadra drive II to flat tow it behind my motor home.
No one wants to sell at list in FLorida.
One dealer offers a $2000 discount. AFTER a $3,000 price adjustment!
I'm ready to buy now, but not at those prices.

I was recently quoted $64000 for a ‘22 Overland with the Advanced ProTech III, Luxury Group IV, running boards, and 10.1” display options. The spec sheet (attached) shows this as about $1500 below MSRP. I’m in the VA/DC area. Good deal? Bad deal? Average? Thanks!

Got a fully loaded V6 Overland two weeks ago. Had to drive 150mi for it as air suspension and tow package were a total unicorn these days. The dealers know it and won’t budge off MSRP if they have one on the lot that fits the bill.

Just Ok deal to be honest.
You are probably paying more than $3500 when compared to a 2021 that can be found closer to invoice price.

Not specifically for an Overland, but Chapman Jeep in Horsham, PA was flat 4% under invoice for GCL factory orders. No FCA affiliate discounts, no specific financing requirements. Placed an order for a 2022 Summit Reserve. Gupton Motors in TN also was offering about the same for factory orders.

MSRP $68,900
Invoice (FWP) $65,917
Selling Price $63,280
~8.2% off MSRP, ~$5600 under MSRP

I'm also in the DC/VA/MD area, but going to PA to get ours.

I think this is missing a lot of context.
Was there a trade in on this one? Lease, at what factor? Purchase at what APR?
Was it a demo unit?
Pulling a VIN from this dealer website shows that they are marking up and Overland in their website by $3,395 from the original window sticker.
Website shows this one at $63,770
The original window sticker shows $60,375

Dealer invoice on WL75 is about 4% off MSRP. Employee pricing on WL75 is about 9% off MSRP.
Its not likely any dealer would give you a price closer to employee pricing on a new model like this one.

The key here is factory order. No trade-in. Not a demo unit. Not leasing, purchasing outright.

Like I said in my original post, multiple dealers were offering under invoice pricing, anywhere from 3-7%, for factory orders (not off the lot). Go check out all the other Jeep (Wrangler, Gladiator) forums and you'll easily find people ordering all sorts of new Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and Ram under invoice. The GCL is no different.

And if you don't believe me, check out Tom's post (owner of Chapman CDJR): https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/update-under-invoice-price-with-dealersider.76352/

shouldn’t the “sales commission” come out of the selling price? When you add that back in, you are actually paying over MSRP.

I think their own listings on the website prove they are playing with the MSRP.

I think their own listings on the website prove they are playing with the MSRP.

If you're referring to the example you provided earlier, then the website just shows their asking price, which can be whatever they want it to be. As you mentioned the window sticker clearly shows an MSRP of $60,375, while their asking price is $63,770. No where on their site are they claiming that the $63,770 is the MSRP. You can't play with MSRP, it's the manufacturer's suggested retail price. Dealers can, however, ask whatever they want. With current shortages, many dealers are adding market adjustments to vehicles on their lots similar to the example you provided. Simple economics of supply and demand.

The original question posted by the OP was what was the negotiated price paid. My negotiated price was $63,280 or 4% under Invoice (FWP) for a 2022 GCL Summit Reserve V6.

I got a similar deal on a factory order as well. I live in FL but had to go to Maryland to get it. Used a lease broker to find the best deal, ended up purchasing though.

Ended up paying about $2500 (about 3.9%) below MSRP (before TTL) on a dealer stock 21 model. Overland with all the options other than the V8. Probably could’ve done a little better but the price seemed right given that it had all the options we wanted.
