2023 MY start dates

I read on another site that fleet orders for the 2023 model year opens April 15 for 3-row and May 15 for 2-row, with production starting on June 15.

Not sure if that includes 4xe or not. (It sure would be nice if they’d actually deliver some 2022s before taking orders for 2023s…)

So why are we buying 2022's when you can order 2023's with a delivery late summer. I also saw this on a recent video, NYC car show. The guy, Morrrison, that said this is a Jeep employee. We're stuck in D & you can order a 2023, something is not right. Anyway I may be missing something because he was talking about a new High Alitude 4xe model.

Regardless of the year designation, is there any difference between 21, 22, and 23? Seems like the new turbo motor will be '24? The move to '23 seems like a thinly-veiled marketing move to distance themselves from all the problems they've had to date? '23 is a NEW car, third model year, so much more reliable... Maybe that's just my jaundiced perspective, but I'm not seeing much reason to temper it.

I don’t think anyone outside Stellantis has any clue yet what the changes between ‘22 and ‘23 are, if any.

(The GCL changes from ‘21 to ‘22 should certainly be known by now, but I don’t think I‘ve ever seen them listed.)

I'd assume availability of Hands Free Active Driving Assist will be a differentiator ;)

Ah, here you go:

What's New for 2022?

The 2022 model year brings only minor enhancements to the Grand Cherokee L, but buyers will now be able to order a dual-screen, rear-seat entertainment system with Amazon FireTV on Limited trims and higher. A slick 10.3-inch screen embedded into the dashboard ahead of the front passenger is now also available on those same trims. Limited models can now be equipped with a Black appearance package that swaps exterior chrome accents for gloss black ones and incudes black 20-inch wheels. A similar High Altitude package with 21-inch wheels is available on the Summit model. Three new colors are available, too: Ember, Hydro Blue, and Midnight Sky.

A quick perusal of the internet pretty much confirms that nobody knows, but nobody expects much more than maybe additional color options.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but isn't that article from last December, referring to MY22?;)

Yes...It's in answer to the question of whether there were any significant changes from MY21 to MY22.
Got it! The funny part is though that they could literally recycle that article for changes from MY22 to MY23. I'm still looking for any WL74/75 with a Rear Entertainment System...(;

Pretty sure it was never actually an orderable option on the 2-row. Less sure about the 3-row, but I doubt it.
