2022 model year

Jeff tells me my GCL will go to build Monday Aug 2 so will probably not see it until mid to late August. Traditionaly new model is Aug 15 whitch means my 21 will be a year old with 0 miles. How much depreciation will I lose before they put it on the truck? Apreciate any wisdom, thanks!

Its a fair question to ask, not that simple to answer with a specific number.
There's no changes expected so is not like you are buying a model that is being phased out.
One more thing, do expect that by the time you take delivery there could be rebates available for MY21 as more units start arriving dealers everywhere.

I'm not so sure that the 22's will come out too soon. Remember, they just started delivering the 21 models about a month ago.

Congratulations on getting a date and a response from Jeff. You ordered yours April 4, correct? And V8?

You might be surprised.
Rob updated yesterday in this post that WL75 MY22 will start in September. They should be taking preorders a few weeks before that.
I heard from my dealer that the next allocation call for mid August would open MY22. And it seems others are hearing similar things from their dealers.
Keep in mind is not in their best interest to give you this much info because they have inventory now in their lots.

Yes to order date and no to v8. I pull a 6x9 HD in an enclosed trailer and the 2019 3.5 does it without a problem. we just completed a 3 week 20000 mile trip adn I got 18 mpg average.

Is 20000 a typo, or did you actually do 20,000 miles in 3 weeks? That's 1000 miles a day so that's pretty damn impressive if it's the case. MY22 is supposed to bring new colors and also add the sensors necessary for the next level of autonomous driving. My dealer also told me my v8 summit reserve is being built on the 2nd of August and I decided to cancel it as I won't get it until they are already doing 2022 builds.

When did you order your V8 and what trim level?

What changes can we expect to see in the 2022 model? Are we expecting new engine options in the 2022 model?

Will getting a 2021 model now be bad from a depreciation standpoint?

Depreciation will obviously be slightly more than if you got a MY22. They aren't redesigning so it won't be as bad as a 2021>2022 2row depreciation.

Yes it was supposed to be 2k not 20.

Biggest problem I'm having right now is deciding to risk losing some trade value and wait for my22 which could be September or could be December. I was offered 22,200 for my '15 wk2 overland with 67k which seems pretty good to me.
