Follow the manual and just change it when you get the notification on your dash. Oil interval changes are like religion and politics best not talked about on a forum, you will just get a million different opinions from random keyboard warriors.

I agree with you, but I also agree with the original post. I looked in the manual and I couldn’t find what interval our GCL’s go off. I know what I prefer on my older vehicles, but I would like to know what the manufacturer says on this one specifically. Obviously our vehicles have an oil “percentage” til its ready for a change but I haven’t driven ours enough to figure out how many miles that is yet. Be nice of them to put it in the manual.

It's dynamic based off your driving style and conditions. But in general I think the manual says no more than 10k miles or 12 months.

I would wait for the oil indicator light to come on. The oil the engine comes with from the factory has special additives that aid in the break-in of the motor.

Although GCL recommends an oil change every 10,000 miles or 12-month, other manufacturers recommend 1st oil change much earlier, e.g., 3,000 miles or so. Many experts "recommend" this proactive schedule but it's not a requirement.

I am planning to do 1st oil and filter change before 5,000 miles with 0W20 Pennzoil full synthetic oil and a premium filter because it's good for the engine. As such, I will have two oil changes when it hits first 10,000 miles. After that, do an oil & filter change every 10,000 miles in a normal driving condition or every 5,000 miles in a severe driving condition. This practice has worked for my Porsche and another German vehicle for many years. This is just my personal DIY opinion though. :)

I had my first oil change at 5k at the Jeep dealer and they didn't question it. They did write ~10k on the reminder sticker, so I'm guessing it should be every 5k

I would never wait in that again. I did once and the warning came on at 18k . That's wat to long . Most oils last about 8k, that car was a lease ,so i didn't care. I do mine every 5k with a max of 7500k

Most synthetic oils last 10k easy, if not more like 20k. The oil filter is the weak link these days.

When I bought my GCL Limited they actually put a sticker in my windshield saying 5,000. I usually go 7k but may do 5k for the first.
