GCL service 4wd

Picked up GCL on Thursday. Had an 80 mile drive Friday. At about the 75 mile mark the ‘service 4wd’ alert chimes in. Arrived at destination. Started car on Saturday morning warning light had cleared. Drove about 5 miles no issue. Drive back from destination Sunday at about the same 75 mile mark warning light comes back. Anyone else experience this?

Any ideas?

I am having the same issue with 2021 GCL Limited when I'm at the same mileage mark on a trip. Just like you, the light clears when the vehicle is restarted. I went to the dealer and they reflashed some module and I'm still having the issue. Has your issue been resolved yet? The dealer now wants to do something called a STAR CASE where they keep my vehicle for a few days to "diagnose", for some reason I have little faith since the service department knew nothing about my vehicle and they openly admitted it.

Could be related to this doc. I took mine in for appearance protection and they did this update on it and it was not even an issue I had.

I got the first release Gladiator. had some bugs as well. Sounds like dealer is taking care of you (they don’t get paid nearly enough to “listen” for problems. Since it’s covered until Jeep Wave, you should also get a rental/loaner.

Looks like it was a software issue addressed in the document by Rollerbones. I don’t plan on taking a longer drive for a few weeks so we’ll see if it comes back on then.

I don't believe this would be related but it is the newest that just came out. Its about possible downshift issue and insufficient torque.
Here it is for reference. Maybe should just have a TSB post. I am sure there will be a few since this is a new Jeep with a lot of new tech.

We have owned our GCL 3 weeks now. We had the same issue come up last week while on a road trip. We were also having issues with our Parking Brake light coming on while driving. Took it in and they did an update that they said should fix it. Drove it this week and the Service 4WD light came back on. Back to the shop tomorrow. Hoping it will be resolved.

The dealer performed 3 Software updates two weeks ago and so far so good. The dealer updated the Transmission software, the drive control module and something else dealing with the UConnect system.

Same issue here when the vehicle was 2 weeks old. They did some reflash. Lane assist and start/stop is all shades of messed up now. Calling the dealership again. This will be the third trip for various issues with my 2021 GCL. Four if you count the paint issue that has yet to be fixed.
