Update. On Tuesday 8/3, the vehicle failed to turn on. There was absolutely no power, we tried to jump start the car but were unsuccessful. We called roadside and attempted to arrange the vehicle towed to the nearest dealer (not who I bought from).
The vehicle main battery which is underneath the seat needed to be directly jumped instead of using the posts under the hood.
After the vehicle started, we drove it to the dealer and left it with for about two days. They performed software updates, replaced the main but not auxiliary battery. The dealer claimed that the rear view camera mirror was to blame and instructed that the mirror needs to be toggled back to “analog” in order to keep from drawing power. (Bull ! My Silverado has the same tech and I’ve never used the regular mirror setting, this would be a big engineering fail if it were the case)
The next day, we were in the same situation where the vehicle failed to start again. Roadside sent out a tow, we told him to jump the main under the seat and drove it to the dealer.
we have now owned the vehicle for 9 days, had possession of it for 4 total days. Driven less then 150 miles on it.
Pretty disappointed, we made a big investment not only with the cost of the device but choosing the brand for the first time. While the dealer has been helpful, I’ve lost complete confidence in the vehicle. Two same issues back to back feel like a deeper electrical system problem that seems that will be haunting me in the long run.
